Still what's going to give you more of an advantage, adapting to something days before the tournament or after seeing it once or twice. Some secret techs are probably just BS to throw people off, but we won't know till we see it.

The LHD is new technology.

Last month, neurtrinos were fired at speeds exceeding the speed of light. That is potentially huge tech.

Finding out a trap or a new combo a character can do but not telling anyone....is that really tech? Or just stuff that hasn't really been exploited yet.

Maybe Shang Tsung morphs stick players sticks into pads and pad players pads into sticks. Who know's?!!?!?!!?! But when I do find out im not telling anyone.

With all due respect sir, they are merely playing your own game. It is not like they are saying "We haz tech an U dun! Nyaaa nyaaa :suckit:". Out of all the things that I have read in this thread, the biggest sentiment is that the majority are now hype for NEC because these players have promised to reveal these new techs at NEC. It's like in wrestling how you don't book Cena vs. Rock on RAW but as the main event of Wrestlemania. It's not like they are bogarting these new techs, they are merely choosing when to reveal them. Besides, tournaments are money. I wouldn't expect people to reveal their best tricks before a tournament so that people can find a counter.

Now I'm not saying that you have done this particular thing, but you have pulled a lot of crap even I didn't agree with to hype tournaments, MK and the fighting game scene in general. As long as the techs are revealed as promised, I see this as good hype.

Now back to our regularly-scheduled program......

If there really is a new secret tech that you have, then it might not be a good idea to talk about it in the first place, lol. Now people are gonna be hitting the lab with Shang to see if they can find anything, and they will be on the lookout and try to prepare against what you may have.
