Question - Summoner Why Does Quan Chi Need This?

Here's a new fun challenge for your stream: count every time you hit a fully charged B2 setup with Summoner against competent players. I've been told it should never happen.

This is the whole point. Glad I tagged you. Though you'd be here anyway. When Top 5 players tell you something is kinda on the broke side you listen. Now tell me...how do you blow this tech up. Or is it all up to your block game?

DMS normally gives wonderful back stories on players, even dating back to rivalries in MK9 and major history. He may incorporate forum talk if it's relevant to the match. I'd prefer him over you.

@Hollywood DMS you have some obvious haters here for whatever reason. The point is that Quan Chi doesn't need anything extra. Of course you can escape this just like all his other mixups, but this just adds to his already crazy amount of mixups. Of course it Shujink doesn't see it as being overpowered because it still won't help him win a major.

Exactly this, DMS has always been a good poster, and he's earned the right to post opinions something as controversial as this topic. I literally cannot comprehend how DMS get's placed on someones list as one of this sites "bad" posters, unless person in question is actually one himself.

Dink said the same thing about the NjP Pseudo. There is ways out of it. If you read it. So now you literally have 3 possibilities after a trance, so that's a 33%/33%/33%, so the odds are literally against you by more than double, because the best option still has that unavoidable 50/50, trying to make a hard read to get out of these unnecessary options is more likely to just fuck up your only chance to get out. Quan doesn't even more options to make his vortex hard to get out of, he does not need the cards stacked any further in his favor on this one.


At the end of the day, if these options are so "bad" and "gimmicky" and QC has enough offense without them, exactly why are any of you fighting to keep them in?

Most Quan Chi mains are cool. I could only imagine if there was whining like this over a character like Kitana or Liu Kang.

Exactly. If this is so useless, then WHY THE HELL DOES HE NEED IT? It leads to ridiculous damage, and he's got options out of the ass now, especially with the new d1 and overall block pressure removal.

Not trying to add to the fire but Kitana doesnt have 33/33/33's, safe 50/50 pressure, A Bat, hard to unblockables, a bat, AND orgasmic zoning. Just one of those, only one and sheis a major threat. Now have allll of those then youll understand the butt hurt. That or most of the people here haven't played competent Quan's. Dudes a rapist.

I really liked Quan's design before the patch. I don't know enough yet to speak definitively on him yet, but the hate was off the chain before (and he was fine) and its off the chain now (so he's probably still fine.)

I will wait until I know before making any real decisions about him - just like everyone should.

When I said Predator was OP - that was after I played him nonstop for a few days and realized I was much tougher to beat with Predator than Kotal Khan - even though I was still much more skilled with KK.

Quan Chi remains very difficult to play - and even his new changes take a good amount of practice to take advantage of, so you guys over-reacting like this so early tells me that its just hate - and not driven by any kind of scientific knowledge.

If I'm wrong, I will admit it. My educated guess tells me I'm not though. Now, its time to apply scientific testing and find out.

Quan Chi rules!!!

First part: I don't play FF and have no idea what your talking about. I I also down played it and knew it would be nerfed but said it should stay.

Second part I agree with but you don't see making threads cursing about a change 12 hours in.

I'm really kinda baffled by everyone's reaction to dinks video. Dink, you know I love you man, and I can't wait to see you again at SCR hopefully, but surely you must know that jumping out of that is an EXTREMELY dangerous read to make. You could just be doing a regular b2 that would blow up any interrupt attempt.

This is yet another tool quan has now to mix you up, on top of the already most difficult to block mixups in the game. Yeah, technically the fully charged b2 is reactable but when you have a bat flying at you and your worried about a hundred different mixups that he can throw at you, it's gonna catch you off guard. Not to mention this is all completely dependant on WHEN the quan player releases the bat. And when it does hit you, quan can now just hit confirm WITHOUT METER or committing to an unsafe special.

And what's all this nonsense about his d1? We all know his d1 is amazing now! What does that have to do with his b2?! He got both buffs for God's sake. You don't have to choose Lol

This is a buff, and its going to be very useful. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

I'm not endorsing nerfs, but I'm not gonna ignore the down playing

ALSO, nightwing players complaining about useless threads? Gtfo of here, this is poetic justice lol
