Lol ok the reasons I use U3 for my combo enders are this.

First off (if delayed wake up is not used) it leaves Mileena at the perfect spacing for a free 50/50 of MB Ball or F4. If this ender is used in the corner it goes perfectly into an armor break setup with F1,2 and if done in the corner you also have throw as a mix up as well.

Now if delayed wake up is used F3 is a perfect meaty now, you can option select with Ethereal MB Fade off of F4. If your opponent uses delayed wake up F4,4 comes out but if they don't you get F4 into MB Fade. If your opponent is in the corner & uses delayed wake up the F1 will whiff but the 2 in F1,2 will connect instead perfectly & give the same armor breaking effect.

And these are the reasons I prefer U3 as a combo ender in a lot of situations.

I MB my U3 to get push the combo for 6-9% more damage depending on variation and ender. Maybe train them for another setup?

It's no problem. Also here is another tip on playing Mileena. Playing passive aggressive is your best bet.

Play lame in neutral & once you get a knockdown explode & play at a very fast pace that is tough for your opponent to handle. The U3 works in that way that it barely gives your opponent much time to think & you keep the momentum up.

I play Mileena in this style & it has done wonders.

I think it only works against defensive style....If I was you I would always choose to go for damage (sadistic way does too much damage to be ignored). But as a Mileena player I always support you and hope for the best

That actually makes a lot of sense since frames are mostly working against us. Appreciate the tip. I've been mostly going with go big or go home lol. It's hard for me to slow down, but I'm getting better at it. Hopefully our gameplay will only change for the better when the patch comes around. How about they shave off 10 frames from f3? that would be nice lol

When I used Piercing, playing lame felt "right" because I knew I was gonna grab at least 30% when it was my turn. Ravenous actually makes me want to pressure. I'm not sure what changed my mentality - maybe the pounces made me more confident? Not sure. Now Ethereal, I don't know, its just fun as hell making people/AI whiff and then punish. So with Ethereal I'm finding myself turtling trying to bait. I'm not close being effective with it but in the early stages of just having "fun", I'm loving it.

Ehhhh damage isn't always the way to go though. You can't think like that. What if you're in a position where your guaranteed damage doesn't give you the life lead, or takes you out of a position to score more potential damage?

Sadistic ways is a great ender but it doesn't always let you necessarily setup for something bigger depending on your opponents wake up situation. You have to look at match flow and what you're trying to accomplish. Sure scoring an extra 8% is great but if it kills your momentum, was it really worth it? Opting for 28% from an hkd into a potential 37% is much bigger payoff.

My knowledge of the game far exceeds my fingers right now. I'm also a new Mileena player as I've only been playing this game since release so the setups y'all are trying to place aren't on my current level. I'll just keep that 100. My current mentality is to punish the hell outta whatever my opponent and attempt to dissuade him from that tactic.

Don't worry I'm trying to work on getting more confident to attempt these advanced type of moves and setups in a tournament setting. I'll get there. Thanks for the advice though.

Well if timed perfectly F1 can stuff a lot of wakeups in the game. But in Ravenous I might consider salt face's style. If I go for damage in Ravenous then there won't be any oki game. Sometimes I do run in - yolo ex roll after full combo ended with low pounce, but that's a huge read and hella risky

Well if you end with Sadistics, you can still get standing 3 at least. Not much damage, but it will still beat most armor. And if they backdash you're safe.

My core mentality on playing passive aggressive never really changes but how I play that way is what changes when I'm switching variations. For example in Ravenous I use Low Pounce a lot on peoples wake up for a free 16% & by doing that it trains them to block high and opens them up for a F4. Piercing gives you better tools to control the pace of neutral like the low sai & B1,2 for ground spacing & footsies. Ethereal I feel allows more freedom in playing either lame or aggressive due to the many ways the teleports can be used. So to answer the question I do change my playstyle & mentality when I change variations but not by very much.

The reason I never use standing 3 is due to the fact that it offers no mixup at all and it is -10 on block. Once it's blocked it kinda kills all of your momentum. Once I knock you down I want to keep the pressure & momentum going as much as I can while at the same time baiting my opponent into making a mistake trying to get away from me.

There's other frame data changes they said they didn't mention. I believe they mentioned F1's gap for Piercing. But the major ones were F3 jumping lows and B12 being + on block.
