Dude you live in atlanta??? Where have you been?
I think raiden has a bad MU with CSZ.
Dive kick punishes turtlers
3 of his main strings you can d3 out of (with a lot of characters)
parry and ex parry works between hits 1+2 and 2+3 of 3 of his strings (ex parry during a string leads to 35% no meter punish)
close dive kick on reaction tracks to teleports.
if raiden cancels to shocker parry lowers hitbox to where it whiffs and then recovers as fast as raiden does off shocker
blocked/baited superman = 40% no meter punish
close bomb then dash forward keeps teleports in check
I would like forever king and b wizz to chime in on all this. I think CSZ can really hold raiden in check
Ive played forever king and b wizz a lot and im raiden not being S tier on our games. They play him exactly how he is meant and still I dont see S tier. Either that or CSZ is a bad MU for raiden
Our only real matches were online in a lot of lag, so it's kind of hard to determine the matchup based on that. I feel this is a solid 5-5 match since both characters have all of the tools to fight each other. Raiden in my opinion is S-tier because he only really has 1 bad matchup, which is Sonya, and that's mainly because of dive kick. CSZ has a dive kick BUT it doesn't lead into a 40% combo + reset like Sonya's does. Raiden has a lot of 5-5 matchups or near even ones but almost no really bad ones.
Parry interrupts B312, 334, and I think F23 1+2? I haven't tested the last string but im thinking it's only the last hit that's interruptible, which isn't used much anyways. I'm thinking if Raiden reads an ice parry interrupt he could do an :en shocker and it should hit and not whiff...since CSZ is recovering from the parry animation while a delayed shocker is coming out. Also vicinity blast will beat out parry (the best option by far imo for countering parry interrupt), and the :en version gives a free superman on hit.
and superman work as parry punishers as well. I'm also thinking it's probably more difficult to poke out of the string than it is to interrupt it with a parry or armored move (you have to hit the window near perfect). A blocked divekick can be punished by a fast reaction superman or string if recovering at the right distance, not to mention theres also the threat of regular and :en vicinity blasts being thrown on the screen if trying to dive kick/mount an aerial assualt.
Instead of using B312 and 334, or any of his interruptible strings, he can opt to use 121,1212,F24,F23,22 shenanigans instead..not to mention all of the different mixups into specials he can do off of these strings.
CSZ is generally weak to heavy zoning, and Raiden has some solid zoning/defensive options.
I can't see this matchup being any more or less than a solid 5-5.
