Jumping takes longer from crouch block

As a "Stream Monster" that was watching that particular stream when this happened, you're incorrect. MIT, DJT and Slayer were all excited about this piece of tech and were testing with normals as well as jumps.

I really like your videos, Tom and I respect the care you take to make them. This is a good opportunity for you to break this down and make another nailing down the exact frame advantage.
Yes indeed, we had an idea of the frames changing but weren't super sure. Then Reo told us about kitana's 21 string and how on crouch block her b1 will beat out all ur counterpokes and when we tested it he was correct. So we tested it with other characters and it checked out.

I have noticed this as well but it feels like coming out of block added maybe 1 or 2 frames when coming out of crouch block. However, I never really had any solid proof that shows it actually did have coming out of block frames rather then me mistiming the counter poke.

I don't think it's a matter of frames changing, more a matter of moves having to go through standing animation frames before coming out.

So if you block a move crouching then retaliate with s1, you have to first stand (which may take 1-2 frames) then the s1 comes out, much like there is 1 frame after letting go of block before normals come out.

I was seeking clarification on whether or not reversals and crouching normals have this as well.

Probably the easiest way to test this is to find a move that's between -7 and -10 and test if the move can be punished by a 6-9 frame move (respectively) from both crouch and standing. It'd have to be a move that hits mid.
I had always assumed that it took a frame or two to stand as that always made sense, but decided to test it just in case:

Test using Kenshis sickle lift(-10) punishing w/ Tanya b1(9f)- Punish was possible standing, not possible crouching

Test using Reptile's F2 2+3 string(-11) punishing with Tanya b1 again- punish possible standing and crouching.

It looks like it takes at least 1 frame to stand. I didnt have time to test it more.

There is the issue that @YOMI MITYEAP said this happened for low pokes as well. Does this mean you have to return to standing before you can do a low poke too? Or is something else happening?

The funny thing is that with Johnny Cage's ExNP the complete opposite happens. It's way easier to punish it after blocking the second hit while crouching, as the pushback is noticeably shorter.
No idea why this happens, tho.
