A small addition to fire fatalities

Now with classic Scorpion and Sonya fatalities in the system too, why are all the fire fatalities have clean skeletons after being burned? Shouldn't they stay on fire or at least be scorched? I know I'm just nitpicking but It looks kind of weird. Also Sub Zero must have gotten stronger because he no longer has to even tug on their head more than once.
You know this was meant to be a nod to the people who played the original MK right??? It was not aimed at newer players. It is meant to be funny, campy and silly just like it was then. It is not meant to be taken seriously.

If you were wondering , you are not meant to take Sonya's MK1 outfit seriously either...

Then why does a Faction Kill result in the same thing? They're clearly not nods to anything from previous MK games.

Not so sure about that, I played the original MK1 when I was a kid and back then those were super realistic. And Sonyas outfit was what most people would consider a fighting outfit for a chick who looked like a workout instructor. And most kids in the arcades thought she was super hot in that.

I'm 37 - I was playing MK (and SF/ DD etc) at the time too. We just all thought it was funny back then. The Fatalities were different at the time compared to other games and kinda shocking, but looking back, they are now considered tame, campy and funny. I am glad the NRS shares that sense of humor by keeping it simple and just leaving them as they were back then. I maintain that it was meant to be a nod to the old skoolers and not a serious venture.

Sonya's outfit is another example of this humor. It looks ridiculous by today's standards but back then it was awesome. The costume returning is funny and was not meant to be taken seriously... people still got angry and salty about it looking shit... but that is how it was and it is fun to see the ridiculously outdated outfit back in MKX. The people bringing the salt do not understand it was not aimed at them and was more for the faithful long term players of the franchise

I agree with the OP regarding the ease in which SZ removes his opponents head. It makes it much more impactful if he has to struggle a bit to tear his foes spine out of their body by their head.

It is not aimed at you.

Some people love it

Not everything in the world is meant to be aimed at you.

I don't like Cassie's alt, Farmer Jax etc... but others do and I'm not the intended audience anyway... not everything is about me - it doesn't mean it is unworthy
