Im the salty one when i play @niredina. Mostly cause hes already a better player than me and as a kano main going against ermac is super salt inducing. I cant stand it when i lose to guesses. To add more salt to my wound he tell me "ermac is midtier" then procedes to do a 45% meter less combo. I tell him to eat s***.
Umm ermac has a huge vortex game, decent zoning and an outstanding 50/50 game that leads to standing reset... he is not mid tier. His normals are pretty punishable but everyone is punishable. He's more than mid tier is my point... and I hate tiers. I think they're bs.

I kno that haha. Doesnt make it less salt inducing. Just a bad match up and iget salty. Thats all im saying. Plus telling me if i guess right i can punish. Like so i should just stand there and hope iguess right? Thats not a tactic. So i dont mind being the salty one

The saltiest
I'm in xbone, always happy to play with people from TYM. Anyone feel free to add me. Though, I won't be on for a few days maybe up to a week.

Everybody gets salty against MKX Sub-Zero, those who say otherwise are lying!
Completely untrue. I play Liu, Scorpion, and Raiden and rarely have issues with sub. The deadliest thing about him is his jip the clone shenanigans I can usually beat with zoning or teleports.

This isn't really a serious matter but just thought it would be cool to hear the opinions of others.

Recently I got a sparring partner for mk, good player and we thought it would be cool if both of us should play more often to up our game.

I main Sub Zero and our first set was Sub v Lao (wasn't meant to be a serious set) he bodied me this set and I didn't complain one bit.

Next set he alternated between characters and played with Lao. I bodied him when he was Lao and when he switched up characters as well. The MU is in Lao's favour (one would think) so I wouldn't expect any salt, especially from a serious player. I was wrong, he was salty as Hell. He said Sub Zero is OP and that him in the corner is basically bullshit (he sent more but I cba to type it up here)

Basically, those of you who have had multiple sparring partners. What do you think? Should I just take the salt, will it still up my game or not as much? Or is this matter just bullshit as a whole.

Btw, just because he said sub is op doesn't make him a bad player. I guess the salt took over him when he said that.

id get another partner- the problem with people like this is that if they get this mad when they lose - how can you talk to them to voice what you think were their mistakes and vice versa.. i mean everyone gets mad/ salty/ etc but the point of a sparring partner is to level up and TALK about the match ups... not bitch about someone being OP ..or atleast if they really think someone is OP then give legit reason why and then both of you lab ways to counter the OP stuff. ..my 2 cents

This thread is slowly turning into a match up discussion... Idm salt, was just wondering how much it would/could affect me progressing

I have some buds who get salty sometimes, I would say as long as it's not overwhelming I would deal with it especially if they are a "good" player.

Also it's easy to make up excuses when someone loses, just gotta try to see if it makes sense or not lol.

Just all depends on your tolerance I guess

I have to laugh at those moaning people. Mileena takes a lot of skill to play and is a high risk high reward char. People bitching about her online clearly shows that people are not familiar with her
Ever faced a laggy mileena or scorpion before? Not fun.

that's not the true game anyway. No point in getting salty over a laggy version of the game, when if you ever compete it'll be completely different. Get salty over the real version (offline PS4) if you're gonna get salty over anything.

Like I said earlier, I think it would have more of a negative impact on progression. Like @aieches said, if they are getting super upset at the loss I don't forsee much conversation being able to be had on what he or you did wrong in a particular match.

But the point of sparring is to talk about matchups and the pros and cons... sorry

Anyways, if I were on PS4 I'd totally spar and more importantly help you in whatever matchups I could.

To second this, and this may go without saying, but make sure the matches are private so they're not salty about their w/l ratio getting screwed up.

I do public ranked and private depending on if I'm helping someone (usually a lower level from stream) or being competitive online but the only salt I could legit see is if they're getting pounder and ruining their w/l... yeah some people care that much :/

Otherwise, no one should be getting salty in a private spar wtf

When I said a match up discussion I meant a specific match up (mileena)

Any laggy character is a terror to fight against. Ever fought a laggy kenjutsu kenshi? Even full screen you aren't safe and block just... never comes out fast enough. Bf3 all day with them bitches.

Ah I remember when I thought I found a good sparring partner in Injustice lol

So I ran into a Bane player right after I picked up Zod and was still learning him and we played he and won. I sent a good game message and complimented a huge combo he managed to pull off. So he invited me to do online practice with him for fun, and we did and I eventually had to go, all was well.

Next day he wanted to do some 1v1s, we did a bunch and he won a lot, but the more we played the closer and closer I got to winning. I eventually beat his WW and Bane down, and the rage that ensued over his mic was very surprising lol he cursed quite a bit then said "I'm f****** done with this bull sh**" and left hahaha its funny, he was having such a blast when he was winning, then flipped like a switch the second I won.

Stories like this surprise the hell out of me... why do people think they SHOULD win every match? Secondly, if your opponent is NOT getting any better wouldn't it get boring af to continue?

In BLADEs case he did get closer and closer and finally won, and dude got mad? Why because his 25-0 streak was defeated and he got 1 loss out of all those wins or?... this shit confuses me and it'd have been stale af if my sparring partner didn't get any closer to winning

Might I add... dudes playing a fighting game with their girlfriend close by having them watch to see how "totes badass they are" make them the.saltiest.losers.on.the.planet.

Idk if that was this dudes case but...

Falls down too much
It a training partner gets upset and keeps playing that's not real salt. If your training partner gets salty quits they aren't really your training partner.

I don't get salty. I might about lag, or something beyond the game, but never salty about an L or a W. I was playing a random guy in player match a few nights ago and we were having very good matches, I think it ended 14-17 him, I know he came out on top, but he got super angry at the end. I had no idea he was even upset, we played for like an hour, and I felt like we both learned a few things. Frankly I could go 0-10 (happened last week for sure) and as long as I've learned something I don't care, you'll just get a GG from me.

Anyone wants to add me on XBL my GT is Audit. I have you Aqueous Echo, I'd still like to get some games some time if the lag permits.
