You only eat a lot of chip due the flame aura combined, imo reducing the chip damage of the last hit of the 214 string up a bit and reduce 0,25% more on the aura thick would help out.

But i think eating 12 to 15% by chip is much better than eating another 35% combo and then you risk to lose your all bar you just built.

Its not Downplaying Hellfire is really good, that is why every hellfire scorpion knows he doesn't need anything, no buffs no nerfs, if you mess up with the flame aura thick damage the move might become shit, if you mess up with the block advantage of the FBC he loses the only pressure string that allows him to mix up when he gets the chance, which is the only safe variation he has, 214 is -14 across all variations.

No matter how FBC looks good, the only guaranteed blockstring is 214 FBC, and that string is better guaranteed on a teleport on hit or from a jump in.

People need to explore the other hit confirming strings and see for themselves how can they explore that, to this day on i still hit F3~fbc 114 on block
B3~fbc 214 and ppl just stand there.

There are other characters that can do 40% on touch too (Ermac for example, whom also has a vortex)
Then there is Sorcerer Quan Chi, who even if you block can still take down at least 60% of your HP with 3 bars WHILE YOU BLOCK.

I'm not really worried about Scorpion, but it does sometimes feel he could use a minor tweak to make him more manageable cause you end up in a pure guessing game, which kinda sucks. But yeah. part of the game.

I don't understand 32% meterless, i guess i'm falling behind give me the combo notations.

As far as i can tell he can reach 30% with one bar and then expand with two flame auras in one combo which reaches 50% on a really good punish

I'm not downplaying scorpion because I think he's one of the best characters in the game. I just want to point out that the chip damage isn't guaranteed because eating the last hit of 214 is actually pretty affective. I can guess and EX spear for another combo, it's a great situation for scorpion but the chip is not guaranteed.

The word braindead gets tossed around a lot on these forums. I just want to make the point that it can be argued that scorpion is braindead based on what tools he has, the amount of effort needed and etc. I also think relative to this game as a whole it can be argued that scorpion is not braindead considering what a lot of other characters have. You can even just say the whole game is braindead if you want to break it down like that.

I actually think Scorpion should get a slight buff. I believe his b2 damage scaling should be slightly reduced because I have not seen another move in the game scale the way this move does off a single hit starter.

LITERALLY unplayable for some. a 2 minute wait to just play offline and a 5 minute wait to connect to Online only to be in a 120f delay match online, desynced, and forced to wait another 5 minutes makes me speechless. I can't find the proper word to use for something as ridiculous as this. I and others who are the same have basically been ripped off.

For me your suggestions are just unreasonable and will force everyone to play Inferno Scorpion or something else. Removing FBC pressure makes no sense to me. Then you would have to do the same thing to Liu Kang and any other character with Run Cancel pressure, or some other block strings based on your reasons for removing the pressure.

Also, just because someone fundamentally disagrees with you it doesn't mean they are "downplaying". It's called a difference of opinion. Lots of characters in this game have a combination of crazy damage, mixups, range, pressure etc.

Liu kang has way less air control and no 50/50 and shitty meterless damage, he also doesn't have a standing reset at the end of his 32% meterless combos

If you focus on nerfing the top tier all you're going to get is a new top tier
