I agree. The PC community is massively toxic. Not just in this game, but in all games. Any big PC game and the forums are a total mess. Just look at Witcher 3 for a recent example.
I've been a lucky one. I have had pretty much zero problems, from the streaming install working perfectly to a full frame rates on day 1, no save data losses and I never encountered the Krypt bugs.. and I am not trying to downplay it, obviously people are having legit problems.
Still I can not understand the behavior of many of the PC community. 1/2 the time they are complaining about something so trivial like a 30fps drop on xrays or it is just a complete fiction. Also, and I know I am probably not talking to anyone on this site, there is a large amount of people only playing the warez version and much of the crashing and drops is form the that. You can tell form the things they complain about that have been fixed, like the animation walk always still get talking about on steam.
My problem is that my experience with the game on PC has been extremely good. In fact the only thing I hate about it, is the PC community.
My experience is very similar and I agree with most of your points. I don't find it limited to PC communities though, I find any game community on any platform is often like this.
Again, I have no issue at all with people having legit complaints about legit broken stuff, and (constructively) expressing those frustrations; that's 100% cool. It's so much of the petty stuff that just blows my mind.
Like the 30 FPS X-Rays and such you mention. That is a thing, Fatalities and X-Rays are locked at 30 FPS. Is that a game breaking thing? No! People who actually can't play the game because it's broken, that's game breaking. That's the stuff that WBIE and HVS should be working on fixing first and foremost, not unlocking a frame rate in a scripted animation that doesn't actually affect gameplay. If they can unlock those later when other stuff is fixed, great, but that's not a key item.
And yet the way some people go on about those, mainly in the Steam Forums from what I've seen, is just incredible.
For me with Mortal Kombat X, I've also only had minor issues, and I know that makes me one of the lucky ones. That doesn't excuse the problems the game has had though.
