Shortcut Input Issue - Why is it Like This?

I honestly feel like I payed for 2/3 of the game because I avoid all characters with command grabs that have these inputs; I simply can't do them unless I hit every button individually. Never had this problem in mk9. Can we have this issue addressed in an upcoming patch @colt ?

I don't use it, you can pretty much just mash in :d:qtl:l like that and get it, I still complain about inputs no matter how I have it though, on or off I still get errors with simple shit idek why because at this point i'm sure it's not me.

I love how I see countless times where 1+2 triggers an interactable inadvertently and NRS refuses to admit this is an issue because you can just turn off input shortcuts in the controller settings to disable 1+2 doing an interactable...not caring that it also removes directional input shortcuts that you need to do other commands. It is really unfortunate that this effects gameplay and loses people tournament matches, but NRS does not see it as an issue...
This is the #1 issue I've experienced. I've somewhat gotten used to the way inputs work (directional-wise), but this shit makes me insane. There's nothing quite like doing an uppercut reversal combo in the corner with Kotal and trying to follow up with B+1,2 as they fall....only to fucking do the jump interactable and get full combo punished.

I also refuse to turn off shortcuts because it makes shit like D+1, Lift so easy with Ermac, for example. It was incredibly easy in MK9 and I never dropped it. Tap down +1 and then tap b+1. Worked every time.

Ugh, this. I've had inadvertent interactable doing Cassie's b1,2. thing is, I have a six button stick so I need to leave it on.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but needing the Shorcut Input feature on leads to bad habits. Getting used to just doing half motion commands takes a toll in all other fighting games where QCF/QCB commands are common place.

In short, you should practice doing the command's full motion instead of relying on a faulty feature that shouldn't exist to begin with.
Plus if you use a six button stick you need it on so 1+2 activates interactables

I have to disagree here. Mk9 was notorious for having the wrong shit come out, accidental moves and the input bug. By default release check and input shortcuts were manditory. It was a nightmare for stick players at least.
D1 input bug was a nightmare but neg edge wasn't too bad once you knew how to stop it.
