It's a realm...made out of chaos.
Anything can happen there. Literally.

Send them there and have them come back redesigned and complete with their new names.

Didn't you play MK9? Smoke was kidnapped as a baby by a cult that wanted to sacrifice him to summon a demon. They succeeded but the demon use the baby as a conduit(and killed them) and they've been bonded ever since. The demon was an Enenra, a smoke wraith, and it's what gives Smoke his powers. I think it is to be assumed that the either Smoke fully embraced the demon after his death or that the demon gained full control of him.

Was this Smokes ending when you played through the tower? Cause I don't remember none of this, but thanks for the info. Sounds like a cool character tho.

I'm in the Lin Kuei faction literally just so I can have the Smoke faction kill.

A lot of you peeps make joke and have fun with the fact that Smoke didn't make it to the final roster OR DLC but I am legitimately devistated that he didn't make it back as playable. I mean, for christ sake, Kitana and Liu Kang didn't serve much purpose in the Story, why choose those sock cuckers over Smoke to be playable? He's way cooler. God, the talk over Smoke is making me salty. I'm going back to play some MK9.

Kitana and Liu served a purpose and are going to be the main, or two of the main antagonists in MK11, seeing as how they're seen as the rulers of hell in the final scene of story mode, much like Shinnok was shown in the final scene of MK9's story mode.

They're an effortless idiot tax. Basically If you're too dumb to know who to do what are easily the simplest fatalities in the entire MK series, you can throw your money at an optional DLC that let's you do them all in two buttons.

Charging dumb people to press a button they could already press for free isn't why certain characters aren't on the roster.

Agree, they're not directly associated but i think you didn't get my point... Answer me why they didnt' made Rain playable for example, new design but the same MK9 moves... he appear more in the story than Erron Black, what about a biggest story mode with a few more characters? It seems they finished this game in a hurry.

I can't believe we are not going to get more playable toons. Like I know that people are telling me that we aren't but it just sounds crazy. Especially with some of the toons teases in story mode. Like Sindel and BoRa and stuff.
