So I loved mk9 on xbox 360, probably hitting 200+ hours on the game and lurking round the forums for around a year. Although the connections weren't perfect I could comfortably play against anybody with a 2 bar.
I bought MKX on my PC as I don't play consoles anymore and as we all no the launch was a disaster, most probably deterring casuals away. After the first few patches, online started working okay as long as I was in the EU room (although the ping bars don't work.)
After playing the game for around a month now, I see the online community has over halved. Considering there were only a few hundred people in the rooms to begin with, this is a big deal. Now there's no one in the European rooms and the only other room available is filled with people across the world making the connection unbearable. Even if there were good pings in the room, there's still a bug making the majority of the ping bars greyed out.
I have nearly a 100mb/s wired DL speed and cannot get a good game from over 90% of the people online. I'm beginning to think fuck it and dropping the game, as I can see that's what a lot of other people are doing. It's a shame because I have a few people on my friends list that have great connections and I have great games against, but the vast majority I don't.
Even if Netherrealm or HVS get their shit together it'll probably be too late as the majority of people have given it a chance and it's failed them.
Anybody else feeling MKX is almost dead on PC?
