Looks like stance specific. When KL throws the hat while being with his back to the screen - it hits, when he faces the screen - the hat goes through.

tested this and it's just like 24 spin. This time, if you're in the same stance (both chests out, or both backs out) the ex hat toss will whiff. In opposing stances (one chest out one back out) it'll connect. I checked it out with 21 and it works regardless of stance.

This has nothing to do with the attacks hitboxes but it's because of the reaction to the 4 in 2,4. If your stance is matching there is a different reaction than stances flipped. One of those cause a funky hitbox for the victim. Will it be changed? not in this decade.

well some one noticed after i uploaded this earlier.
that it is stance specific.
like the 2,4,spin bullshit is stance specific on mid screen, but in the corner it is not.
this on the other hand, is stance specific on the corner, but not on mid screen....blows chunks if you ask me

the stance button and or changing should be completely removed, as it has no purpose at all.
and i dont say that cus i main KL either, cus in reality? it really serves no purpose that i can see.
i say replace it with the RUN button xD

ok, the glitch also happens mid screen, but what is weird is that it only happens to all the females, minus sheva.
thanks to deathgun for pointing out that it does do it against kitana mid screen.
so i made another video about it, and included all females minus sheva, as proof.
hope nrs is taking notice, and hopefully they will correct this, as it does not happens with any male character mid screen, only females.
