Let's talk: MKX on PC

guys anyone else from EU trying to play MKX online on PC? I have good connection but every single person in "room" has 1 RED bar ? Is it me or PC online is broken as fuck ? (ofc I played 15 online matches and maybe 1-2 was ok (2 yellow bards)..rest lags like fuck

should work , pings not show correctly , sadly you have to sort players after best ping with r1 , to know who have agood connection, btw add me im from germany , steamname brombeerbabak. have a lot of active eu players on pc in my friends list

I play on all platforms and PC online is the best tbh, just play against people from your region and if you both have good connections you'll be fine.

The new patch does not restore the game progress, it's basically the original patch.

If you are lucky enough to had backed up your saves, then the new patch doesn't erase them. It however does not undo the damage of the original.

I'm not really getting any performance improvements sadly. E.g. Sky Temple is still pretty much unplayable.

In theory, yes. All you should have to do is copy/paste your backup back into its original spot AFTER the new patch is released.
If the new patch is working properly, then everything should be back to normal. But don't ever delete the backup though, just in case. As long as you always have that backup file, then there's always a chance at recovery

When you reboot MK, Steam might tell you there is a confliction between Cloud Save and Local Save, if that happens, choose the option Local Save, as your cloud one may have been wiped in the new-new patch install.

For the time being, I think I'll always back up my save, just in case.

Hope things improve for all youse PC guys n' gals. I'm one of the lucky ones who had the game running pretty well, performance-wise*, but I still suffered from lotsa crashes and bugs, so hopefully they're sorted.
*oh apart from Sky Temple, which is a living hell for most of us

A lot of people are reporting better performance, but mine has been substantially worse. I have severe slow down at the start of matches, and it seems my FPS is now capped at 30. My computer isn't that great, so I run it at minimal settings. But at least before I got 60 fps.

Did you turn Frame Smoothing on? That locks the game to 30fps

No, didn't have it on before and I don't now. I did change the vsync which was on adaptive to nidia adaptive (I have an nvidia card) and it went up to about 45 FPS. I even raised the texture quality from low to high and maintained the 45 FPS. Still haven't found a way to raise it to 60 though.
