General/Other - Jax Jax little too Safe?

Everytime anybody asks me "who is the best or being slept on?" and I always reply jax, he's basically superman 2.0, anything superman was missing jax has and a better version of it. He has the tools to beat everyone in the game

I'm the type of person that after he losses against a good character ill go striaght to the lab and look at what blew me up and how i can punish or deal with it. I just got bodied from a wrestler JaX and as i went to the lab almost choked when i saw JaX's frame data:

90% of hes specials are safe on block or even + :
Is Energy Wave is +8 on block (can only be neutral ducked)
Dash punch is -6 so -5 since u need 1 frame to release block also has a huge pushback
But You can punish the overhead dash punch so its guessing either neutral duck to avoid the dash punch or the +8 energy wave to punish or ge smashed with the overhead and eat a 30% combo.
Mayor Pain Which is a Up knee Attack is -7. 70% of the cast can't punish this
Gotcha Grab which is a "grab" move that for some reason is safe on block -3.
Quad grab gives Him a tick throw

Only 2 strings are actually unsafe on block :

Both 12 and 11 can be safely canceled into dash punch to make them safe. 11 is 0 on block ,
btw 1 is 5 frames.

the "semi unsafe" ones
B3 - fullstring(s) B34 -14 and B3D2 0 on block
b12 - the full string b121 is 0 on block
32 - the full string 323 is -3 on block btw a High low Overhead
F3 1+3 - F3 one block can be canceled into quad grab for a tick throw
F4 1+3 - F4 on block can also be canceled into quad grab for a tick throw

Soo Is it just me or is this a little too much for one character?
He's safe because he needs to be safe for reliable pressure. Basically Jax is going to get close to you and try to push you to the corner and then blow you up there. He can be COUNTER POKED quite easily though, you need to poke out of his pressure, jump etc. Another problem I have as a dedicated jax player is Armor moves eat me alive when I become too pressure heavy. Bait him to eat launchers at his own game.

He may be safe but he loses at the ranged game ; good spacing and patience is the key to success against Jax. Going toe to toe with him though is usually not a good idea. I had to add to this.

Counter poking is always viable. I mean if Jax is blowing you up close range then that means you're losing the poke game. 11 is high, duck that, f21 is too slow on startup when you're right next to your opponent, it's a gap closer and b34 is pretty slow too at the neutral game. He's going to be having to do b12 because it hits mid and maybe some crouching 12 or stutter stepping back to get an okay range for b34 etc.. You can always poke out of his pressure though, backdash. I tried going ham against Mr.Mileena the other day and he just wasn't having it, even as Mileena.

I don't know, I could go on.

I also don't want to misinform that I'm thinking he's not high tier ; I've been thinking he's high tier since day 1. But people can deal with him.

Neutral jumping, in some cases, isn't a bad idea to make a footsie tool whiff and punish on the way down. This does not work with Jax.

People neutral jumped at the beginning of mk9 as well, it'll be something that appears less and less over time i think.

Why would anybody in socal waste their time asking for your opinion regarding MKX when they have actually good players like Tyrant, Theo, Slayer, and etc around, but anyway how is Jax superman 2.0? having range on your normal's isn't a rarity in this game, and the run system basically allows you to extend the range on any all your normals anyway. Also the movement in MKX isn't nearly as restrictive as it was injustice. You sure its not a Jax thing and maybe you're just free to Tyrant like you were back in MK9?

Also if you guys are failing at preemptively blowing up a Jax blindly approaching you with f21 using a neutral jump than how about you stop doing a neutral jump? A sub zero player that I always play consistently stuffs my f21 with a preemptive d4, so it is possible.

First of all Kung jin isnt Op all of hes specials in Bojitsu (except hes bf4 ) are full combo punishable some even When MB. Bf4 is can interrupted with a d1 and can be backdashed. Quan Cheese with hes batman Is indeed something else but i only play Warlock the only variation with a good Wakeup but which will whiff if the opponent is right in ur face and thats exactly how jax is intended to be palyed.
So your saying Jax is op but KJ is not? You have problems with Jax cuz you cant wake up with Quan cuz he is right in your face? Sounds like you could replace jax with anyone that has good rushdown in that situation and have the same problem.

I mean this can be said with any armor move for pressure, I agree with @Under_The_Mayo 100 percent on this. I can't pressure for crap when I'm worried about getting armor comboed or shielded to the face. Then I start getting scared and playing like crap and my ego begins to crumble.

And then EVERYONE BEGINS LAUGHING AT ME. HAHA LOOK AT BOOK HE SUX D AT MKX.

I hate armor.
 
I started a thread asking if jax is a little too safe ended up beeing told "Neutral duck this Neutral duck that" even if I stated that I know that right at the beginning , then get told "how can you have concerns about jax when your playing kung jin or Quan cheese they are OP". Any MOD do me favor and close this thread

NJP is no way a footsie tool. Its what most players do now because they dont want to deal with footsies and run cancelling. As time goes on you will see less of NJP in open space.

We get what you mean, but its not the best way to do it, so thats why it'll die out.
It's sorta like saying having a 5f makes you rushdown because its a fast move.

Even jumping backwards is better than doing a njp.

I was hoping he would say no when I asked him if he thinks he's the best in the game. Anyway can we stop making threads about so and so character is too good, and instead make threads about how to get the worse characters to that level. I'm really more of the buff the bad characters rather than Nerf the good characters mindset. The two best jaxes I have seen both lost at locals last night.
