To some those who have asked about Folsom Street Foundry I've approached them twice about having MKX there. The first time I asked back in January they said they'd like to have it there but didn't have any plans at the moment. I asked if I could bring a setup when the game is released but they asked me to check back another time. Then in March I sent them an email and I was quoted for renting the facility for $5,000 or something to run tournaments, which confused me because I stated we were just fans who wanted to run a grassroots tourney.
Then I approached Brewcade and those arrangements turned out fantastically. The management there are terrific and It's awesome they opened their doors to us. I'm very thankful for that.
Folsom is a pretty good place and the staff over there are pretty cool, but they stuck me as wanting to host communities that are already established and didn't seem interested in hosting un-established scenes. As I understand they have space issues being as popular as they are and that may have had so matching to do with it. Those are my impressions, and it is what it is.
So let's establish our scene at Brewcade and get some games going!
