31% no meter anywhere on screen is actually quite easy to do.

30%+ with a overhead/low/overhead mixup with one bar anywhere on screen

37% in the corner no bar, again overhead.

35% low in the corner no bar.
There is way more involved in getting mid screen damage in GM than with cryo. That's my point. It's more feasible in an online environment for 30+ in cryo because there is no run cancelling, and that big damage can come from so many places.

problem tho, cryomancer has litereally no answers other then EXhammer to grandmasters klone game. as much as i like cryo, i dont like being at the mercy to klones, and eventually people will learn the hidden variation selection feature so no counterpicking. until cryomancer has more ways to deal with that, hes probably dead weight to me.

will still play him

will always love him

cant in good conciense main him

I'm not saying that grandmaster isn't better, I'm saying you can play cryomancer, there are really good things about cryomancer in online scenarios. People are just downplaying cryo a little too much for typical players.

Since people are adapting to regular clone cancels time to add the next step...
Canncelling into EX clone. You are sacrificing one bar of meter to keep yourself safe. (Tested it starting with reptile ex slide because it's 5 frames. Although I think 6 because you have to release block).

You can usually punish moves if they try to ex through with a run cancelled 4 into ice ball or b12 ice ball.

They can't react to ex clone because they are going to try to reversals your string. (B12 is -6 if you cancel into ice clone you are adding frames to your recovery and not a lot moves are that fast)

I wish there was more organized game play out there of grandmaster sub. I've seen a couple threads and tombrady vs reo and all, but I just want to watch some other matchups and all.

Watch Cat on the Kombat Houston YouTube channel on his offline matches

THIS^^^^^^^ I'm such a visual person that would help quite a bit, and of course entertaining

We could make a video thread for Sub-Zero with an opening post and order the videos by matchups and variation and timestamps of high level offline footage, or online if that is possible...

But that means somebody would have to keep updating the opening post constantly... and i'm too lazy for that :p

Just tested, one of those theory set ups totally works. More testing needs be done to improve frame recovery but so far:

Corner:
b12~EX smash, b2, 1, d1, b12~clone, walk forward, nj1, bj1, nj3, land, clone...

Does infact set up the clone smash corner combo (run, starter~clone smash, d1, b12~clone, etc...). The bj1 puts you just far enough away. for the proper distance. With a raw nj1, you'll use a few other adjustments so test with this combo to get started.

The issues is the bj1, nj3 adds a lot of recovery since you're hitting them on the way up. I tested against EX slide on wake up and it will punish you, however if you use EX clone, you are fully safe. So there is merit to this. We have a way to set up the clone smash corner combo off a combo. I've tested a few other things and I'm pretty sure with more attention we can find a safer set up and make clone smash combo setups a more practical inclusion in our corner game.

When's DragonBall?
Really having trouble getting two Back+2's to connect in the corner, I'm super inconsistent right now. Any tips on this please??

Don't mash. Use his head as a indication of when to do the next one. When he lifts his head you can buffer/execute the 2nd one.

hmm I also lose it sometimes but I have noticed certain things when to hit second B+2. When you look at Sub as he rises. Take a close look at his elbow. It should look like he chambers that other arm for the second B+2. When you connect both it almost looks as if his arms are working like two wheels. There is no pause between roatations. One roatation ends the other starts. Try to observe it with that elbow rise and time it then or like Pwnstar suggested watch his body as it straigthens up from bending forward. When you look at the opponent his hips should be on the level of your face, he makes shout of pain and you can see blood splashing from him. That's the moment to hit second B+2. Like pawnstar said don't mash it. Usually the fail in connecting them is not cause you hit too late but cause you hit that second B2 too soon.

@PwnStar Thanx to both of u, I'll get back to it. Played 30 matches online today I'm surprised I'm 22-9 considering how much I think my Sub needs work. Haha

When's DragonBall?
So what's the difference of us ending combos in 1,2,3 Slide instead of F4,2 Slide?? Just would like to know
