MKX Patch Confirmed Today

ZeZe

The smart stuff!
There should be no defending of bad practices. There are studios who have no problems releasing good PC ports, and if release postpone is necessary it would be understood by fans. I'd rather see PC release postponed like it had been done with GTA V, than having to put up with current version.
Though at least we ARE having some patches. Too bad they end up breaking the game even more rather then fixing it.

Dunno whether u just don't get the point or u just feel good for a company that sells u a complete garbage port and asks u to become it's beta tester, while at the same time also gets ur money. Fact is that NRS, unlike other companies, fucked up pretty hard when it comes to making equally good product for different platforms and at the same time lost any remaining respect towards them from PC community (metacritic, steam forums etc) which, as business practice shows, is never good for any company.
I do get your point, and in theory it makes perfect sense, but in practice Steam forums were full of complaints since MK9 release and games are still being shelled out, so, I conclude, it must still be profitable thing to do. I suppose WB went CCP style: "At this point people we are losing are people we are ok to lose" rather than invest additional money into PC market that may or may not pay off in the future.
And apparently that works. I'm not saying anything else, just that.

I agree that u can just get "free demo" as it's really probably the smartest thing to do, but usally online features for such "free demos" are not possible. And I only care about online in MK because there's no other way for me to play this game here where I live since there are no locals / interest in it.
I said "Online works there too once established" in that very passage.
At least this is what I'm gathering from those I know who play both version of MK9 to play different people. Just like it is with people owning a game for different platforms for that very purpose. Not sure if MKX will be any different. Although I never dealt with that personally. Even though I'm generally suspicious about NRS games, they work for me well enough and I don't feel the need to get involved into this "demo" thing.

Its true - business is business. Even if NRS go to meetings every fucking day saying "we need more resources to fix the issues" or "take the PC port off HVS and we will do it" you know what the guy in the fancy suit will say? "lol guys its okay this is the biggest selling MK ever chill out you care too much".

That is exactly what I would say too as a big wig - I care about dollar values on paper not people complaining online.

(Disclaimer: I also complain online.. )

Better online=more competitive scene=more tournaments=more $

I wonder if this will be another ZOE HD Collection ordeal.

Is HexaDrive still around? They did a good job fixing HVS' mess up that time.

This is true, but there are also additional investments and opportunity costs associated with these, so gotta consider that.

Besides, I'm not sure how avarage NRS customer is perceived by NRS/WB. If heaps of single player and pseudo-online content in MKX is of any indication, then competitive community have a reason to worry I'm afraid (this is primarily talking about actual online play).

As of PC, a lot of people who were interested in competitive FGs moved to consoles long before releasing FGs for PC became a thing, so that's something to go by as well...

Lowest common denominator. Every company has the lowest common denominator in mind because they are the bigger audience. The Pros/Die hards only amount for so much.

It's even more blatant with the Easy Fatalities option.

The online seems hella better since these last two updates. Plus the PS4 error code bug is fixed. Thank you
Based NRS.
