Meter Build Bug?

Please tell me this is old.

The Meter Mode is on Normal and 1 Bar.
I also Tested this in Single Fight Mode Against CPU


The 1st Clip: Shows Me doing a bread and butter, and not building meter until i do Spin and Divekick. It also shows the opponent, building meter for getting beat up which is normal.

The 2nd Clip: Proves my point even further, You cannot build any meter from hitting your opponent with strings unless you are special cancelling.

The 3rd Clip: however, this shows that if you are getting your opponent to block your strings, then YOU are building as much meter as you would if you were getting beaten up BUT DIG THIS..

Why is it that..

The defender isn't getting any meter from defending? That can't be right..

Please tell me if this was in MK9 of not. I'm relatively new to the NRS family.

this is exactly how meter builds in nrs games

It's really odd. It seems you both build meter regardless on hit or block by special moves.
but for strings, the aggressor doesn't build meter unless the defender is blocking.
but why does the defender not build any meter for defending?

Why should they build meter from blocking an attack?

Why should they build meter from blocking an attack?

Because they're the ones losing health. They should either both be gaining meter or the person blocking should be. Not the other way around.

Why do they gain more meter for absorbing attacks? Because they're being hit? Lol. Why is it one way when being hit but another way when you're being chipped up? Doesn't make sense to me.

it's similar to MK9 with slightly changes in the %'s

u get barz for:
getting hit / taking damage (relative to the damage taken)
doing a special move (set amount per move)
anytime your opponent blocks (relative to the chip done)

Why should they build meter from blocking an attack?

honestly i would do it all different, so that the person who does something good gets meter as reward. so you get it for hitting an attack or blocking it.
