Guys i get mkx for pc but i cant play it until release date. it is possible to play it in offline. i cant even install it

I would pre-order on steam for the 10% discount but, rumor on the console side of things is Netkode is still bollocks just as MK9=Injustice. I will b skipping buying the pre-order edition I will just wait until Stryker is released, or if it turns out he is coming out no time soon then I can just keep my money. If he turns out to be the last 5 hidden characters along with Sektor, or Kabal... Then they got me.

Sux a lot. I think very unforgivable don't give to customers a pre-loading these days.
Console versions will have a pre-loading starting today.

No preload is fine, but apparently you won't even be able to download it at 12am either. Now THAT is not OK...

If the steam unlock time is in fact accurate, and it says "approximately 2 days and 4 hours", that means we'd have to wait four hours from now were it the 14th. That's utter bullshit. That's 7pm here. Fuck that. It'd take hours to download, so I'd probably get to play it close to midnight, not worth it.

It's 2015, it's normal to have 100Mbit or higher download here in the Netherlands.
If the game really is 30GB I'll be playing within 45min.

30GB is quite a lot for a fighting game x_X

This was also known for quite some time now. Steam unlock timer is accurate.

Well i have a 3mbps conection but also i have a friend who have 30mbps... I'm considering installing steam on his pc, downloading the game and then copy the files to my pc.

I have been stressing out about this bullshit for about a week now. Everytime i see the timer on TYM main page i get depressed thinking that we will have to wait 13-14 hours longer than everyone else to even START downloading/installing.

But this reddit post helped settle me down and provided much hope for a midnight release.

If what that person is saying is true i will be okay with it. If i have to wait until tuesday afternoon i will be fucking pissed.

I feel like what that OP is saying on that reddit post could be true. It would make a lot of sense for steam to give incorrect unlock dates for popular games. There is no pre-loading for MKX on steam so literally EVERYONE who pre-ordered would be downloading at midnight. By saying the game doesn't unlock until 14 hours later it will help alleviate the thrashing the servers would take from all that downloading.

There is still hope for a midnight release tmr night which is keeping my spirits up. If i am forced to wait 14 MORE hours on top of all the waiting i have already been doing I will be fucking irate as well.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah the wording of that post says...the game SHOULD be released at 6pm....And it's from WBgames...I still have hope

edit: I saw those pics before my previous post too and i felt like it was some one at WB games named stephanie who just looked on steam and saw the unlock date and copy pasted it in the email response... That's why she said SHOULD be released at that time instead of a definitive response.

Damn it all. May not be able to play on launch day with the lock out timer.

Steams sucks now. I should have held out and waited for Greenman like everyone here mentioned. Now I know for next time.

In your opinion, what is an acceptable time before the online portion of the game gets fixed?

Considering the PC version is not done by NRS directly. I'm expecting 1-2 weeks of online play to be completely broken or servers to be overloaded. They might even claim ddos attacks to cover their ass.

If no one minds me asking, anyone know any good sticks to buy for PC?
I heard there isn't one for a PC/PS4 port. So I guess I'll be sticking to
one that works with XBOX as well.

(also not sure how to remove my sig so I apologize to any mods)

I don't know of a PS4/PC hybrid but don't most sticks work on PC? I plan on using my 360 one. Original TE stick, works fine on PC/360.

Oh and also I'm gonna add you, we had eachother added on Xbox for MK9 but we rarely played though. If you don't mind that is. I'm in need of some PC players who are nearby in case this netcode is booty.

when Injustice released, so I didn't really get a chance to get into it. :/

Sucks for us PC users....especially me since I took a vacation day the 14th expecting to stay up all night playing, and then sleep and play all day. I won't be doing that now. But on the bright side, I can watch Reo and Brady's stream all day and all night. That softens the blow a little bit.

I actually heard the same thing from quite a few people about taking time off work and being upset at PC's unlock time. I still have hope for a midnight release regardless of what the consensus is.

On a more positive note, The steam MKX forums have been blowing up for days. The amount of PC players is far greater than most people initially thought. Are these people posting on the steam forums any good? There are a lot of "this is my first fighting game" and other questions/statements that seem like there will be plenty of noobs to stomp. I just hope that there are some good players as well as these noobs who will be on PC.

Fingers crossed for that midnight release..

It's been my experience as a long-time PC gamer that it has some of the most dedicated players around. I think there's maybe not a lot of people with great familiarity with fighting games on PC, but that just means it's got potential as a very significant growth market for both NRS and ourselves.
