Finally finished the archive, browsed through this thread. The amount of salt flying in every direction is disappointing, but man, I'm glad that people like SonicFox and MIT are the people that eighty-thousand viewers saw as ambassadors for this game.

I took a long break from this site, and actually, from fighting games in general. And you know what? I learned to be done with that level of salt in the intervening period and my life is better for it. If you're in here seriously complaining, decrying, arguing or insulting others after what was a very good - the best, actually - early showing of this game that we're all hype for, it's time to hit the power button on your PC and go figure out how to improve yourself as a person. That so many people could take life lessons from these players so much younger than them is sad.

What bothers me is that Lao has shit damage. 31% for one bar really? Buff that shit Nrs.

I doubt PL was using anything optimal, reminiscent of early MK9 where he always did roll into spin, which made no sense.

It was an interesting showcase for Lao though, and I definitely see how I can make it more potent with tempest over buzzsaw.

His hats in buzzsaw are really good for zoning from what Ive seen though. He could bait jumps and divekick them out of the air for a combo especially since jumps are often floaty in this game.

Well, obviously variations will be more advantagous depending on the matchup, but tempest to me definitely sounds like THE rushdown variations, and from what I saw last night, I've got ideas.

At least more damage and continued pressure.

LAO's DAMAGE IS OK! When the game is played for at least 3 months, then it may be discussed. Scorpion's summoner is ok also. From what I've seen it's a punishing variation, so doing big damage is not a big deal.

Tyrant played amazing, but SonicFox is playing like he's had the game for a few months instead of a few days.Those Caltrop setups are just vicious! Plus that command grab?! Erron Black mains should be taking notes.

Marksman looks like the most damage but you gotta be on point with guessing. And gunslinger looks like that may be to counterpick a certain character but i will see soon

Some of you guys are just being fighting game elitists. Last time I checked, being good at a fighting game meant being able to win fights (especially against other good players), so I don't get why Sonic Fox is considered by some worse than the veterans at this precise moment, at least. HitBox made him a custom XB1 hitbox, although it isn't something HitBox does or creates, they only make pc360 boxes for sale. Just something they cooked up specifically for Tyrant

As of the last 2 years maybe even more @SonicFox5000 has been the face of NRS games. Very few people have beaten him and it looks like its going to continue into MKX.

He likes characters with 50/50s but that is not the reason why he is winning. He makes the better reads and opens his opponents up.

Great stream overall. Some sexy combos and set ups, some brutalities, some fatalities, game looked so smooth and then that MATCH EXTENSION! That was awesome!

I thought it was funny first match took place in the training room haha. Great to see Erron Black stylin' thanks to young mr. Fox!

Can't wait for future tourneys and all the other great players to join the action!

I'm like, how can I compete with that!? I'm determined to be better than I've ever been in any other fighting game though!

Honestly, I'd be interested in seeing that as so far, nobody seems to have found a use for tempest that is good enough to warrant using it over buzzsaw. It's still early days though as the game isn't even out for most.
