kratos' parry isn't something i usually complain about at all but since we're talking about it those are things i've though in the past. i just don't like how he gets a free wakeup because he can either use a parry or and actual wakeup attack. it reminds me of ryu from ssfiv always getting a free wakeup because he had an invincible uppercut, as did 90% of the cast, OR he could do anything else he wanted for people feared the uppercut.
i know kratos' fleece was the sh*t in GOW but it can get annoying. i've never thought of that NJP combo starter, though. that's a good idea. i'll try it on the next kratos spammer i fight!

how u gonna release a patch on 1 system b4 the other when the other half of the mk community wont have time to adjust and all the xbox users have an advantage now.

because Sony is taking its sweet time releasing the patch. im positive both were submitted by NRS at the same time but microsoft simply greenlit it earlier.
in any case; on the STBL stream on Monday paulo stated on the stream chat that "it looks like [the patch] is coming on Friday". so i HOPE it is indeed coming tomorrow

you bring up a good point. NRS have consistently re-shifted the blame promptly whenever people "wrongfully" accuse them of something. and this time they havent..

perhaps the ps3 patch is changing additional things? or who knows... i just want the patch for my precious sindel

If that patch doesn't have extra costume, fixes the lag on the GOW stage, and something else that is cool. then i'll be piss I had to wait a week for changes.

Does anyone know thought if it includes the compat packs for the first three DLCs? I'm glad they forced Freddies down everyone's throat, but it'd be nice to be able to always use the other DLC too.

MS has been doing this strategy for a while now. Actually MS has two strategies one more annoying than another, but from a business stand point make sense to me. (1) If the is not on par with the other system they wont go with it. So dev have to make sure that no extra feature is added to the other console regardless of the extra space on our so call Blu-ray. I find this one to be the most annoying. The (2) one which also make sense is getting the DLC exclusives for a limited time. They always have a bunch of DLC coming out a week early...hell even months.

I gotta admit they both work great when I put myself in their shoes. Also, the wait have been killing me so badly that I almost went out a bought a 360 just to play the damn patch. That's how much I love this damn game. I always wanted to get a 360, and this patch situation would have been my perfect excuse.

As I mentioned before, it wouldnt surprised me if such a shenanigan was in place here, and I wouldnt blame NRS either. There is nothing wrong in making more money when all they have to do is delay the patch for a week.

It's just that, this is a freaking patch we are talking about here, not DLC. Doesnt NRS have more power of patches than DLC? I was under the impression that they could do it even if PSN happens to be down, no? Anyway, this is my assumption and it doesnt mean that it is true. Like someone mentioned earlier, NRS sometimes give us a reason when stuff like that gets delayed. This time around they just happened to send the patch a week later rather than the next day or something. Again, I dont know what goes on in the background, but I just wouldnt put it pass me at this point

I just think when it comes to balancing a game via patches, NRS should plan to release then on all system at the same time. They didnt mentioned any technical difficulties or tell us that they already submitted the patch..nothing. Who knows, maybe they finished the 360 version earlier Anywho, I would rather late they give me a complete patch than something rushed.

i think they said they can distribute hotfix changes while psn was down, not patches.
i also hate how they say things like it will be out, "soon" "within a couple days" and "tuesday" when it comes out one week later.
no matter, time's almost up.
it's just weird to me, who are they saving the patch for? who better to give it to than us?! lol

There is a tourney that is coming up in Chicago. And the guy that is running has no idea what to do with Mk. He is banning all klassic costumes and all DLC characters. I just told him that a patch for the game is coming soon. He ban all kombat codes too. This guy is fucking stupid. I'm not going to waste my money on shitty rules.

Psn updates at 6pm so if you don't have it by then you won't be getting it for that day. Who knows? They might make an exception for this patch but I'm pretty sure thats how it works.
