someone said paolo was on stream and said ps3 will most likely get the patch on friday but possibly "sooner" than that.

well, NRS releasing a patch for their game has nothing to do with PSN updating because we've gotten patches on other weekdays in the past and xbox got it on friday which i don't believe is when they update so it must be kratos changes that are causing the delay... i can't think of any other explanation.

just hurry, patch 5 =/

hopefully his parry lol it's annoying that he gets a free wakeup because of it. the only thing i get is a sweep unless i use an attack that can't be parried.
i guess all kratos has is his damage and parry.

Kratos is not that great once you know how his gimmicks work. Either that or I've never fought one that wasn't garbage.

I'm not even sure I know what his win pose looks like.

Paulo was on the STBL stream chat on Monday and simply stated that the patch "looks like itll be dropping on friday. hopefully sooner". that was all he stated. dont know if you can interpret that as a "confirmation" but do so at your own discretion.

no. we're not even sure if kratos is getting any changes, though we can only assume.
i just meant if they're gonna do anything to him they should lighten his parry a little bit.
i main sindel so sometimes people pick kratos and run away to parry my fireballs. there's a really easy way around that but i don't like that i can't combo him on his wakeup.

Why would they patch Kratos? He has shit slow normals and strings and is given high damage to compensate for it. The parry thing could be a possible reason its taking a bit longer(to make it consistent with kang's and csub's). Kratos isn't tourney viable so even if you die to one online don't sweat it. Unless there's a huge swell of Kratos players on psn soon I wouldn't worry too much about him or his parry.

oh, i'm sure the patch will be out before october 14th =]
if not, that would be a disaster!i'm hoping on tomorrow or friday at the latest because NRS themselves never said tuesday.

i was fine with kratos' parry until one match when i hit him with a D4 while he was standing, which stuffed his parry, so then i went for my un-interuptable combo starter since the D4 landed and..... it got parried because the dude was mashing parry! only thing i could do was sweep or run away and play my fireball game until he dies.
i mean... it even parries grabs! c'mon. it's not that big of a deal but sheesh it's annoying fighting a kratos who abuses that.

By free do you mean like a free win? lol f4,2 hold 2, 4 does 31%..thats a lot of damage for THREE button presses. The whole thing is Kratos is strictly a counter/zoning character. Even so he can be defeated easily because his shit isn't safe. When/if they "fix" his parry to not counter certain lows like jax's f4 or lieu kang's b3 then he'll really blow.

as far as i'm concerned, kratos has a guessing game or mixup on his wakeup. he can either use golden fleece, in which you'd have to sweep or use a anti-parry special move, or he can use a more appropriate wakeup up like his dash.
i don't like that his parry works on grabs... that's a little much.
he can combo after a parry and move very quickly after he parries something but i understand that's one of his strong points. i mean... i assume that kratos players aren't going to use parry every single chance they get buuuttttt.. they do.

besides, at the rate NRS are going, kratos will probably end up with an even better parry, if it's possible. perhaps it will even parry generic low pokes, too. and all that's if they're even patching him at all.

btw, he meant that fighting kratos is a free win for you and not kratos.

LOL i hear you bro, the move dont bother me, but the scrubs that abuse it does.
granted i beat them 99.9% of the time lol
still annoying lol

and the patch? well i hope so, my kid needs to practice his reptile after the patch to get ready for SB's :)

I wonder if MS pulled a GET_IT_A_WEEK_EARLY shenanigans. It's beyond me why they cant schedule the patch to come out the same day. The sad thing is NRS cant even give us a date (T_T)

ahhh you're the guy with the 9 year old mk prodigy son i saw on youtube!

tell your son that i saw his sindel combo and i've been using her since the game's release and i STILL cannot consistently land B3, F2, yell in training mode and i'm actually waiting on the patch so i can do it XD
i'm 20 by the way. lol it must be like a 1 frame link!

i felt so weird. as far as i know, xbox never gets anything early and xbox users are usually the ones complaining they got something late.
what kind of shenanigans do MS have?

btw, the rumored date is possibly thursday but most likely friday.

little punk will pay for all the beattings he gave me earlier today :confused: lol

and man, i wish i was 20 again, sadly i feel like 90 in the mornings lol...34 BTW ;)

Oh come now. His parry isn't as fast as csubs recovery wise. Its pretty easy to get a combo inbetween parries if they go parry-happy. If all else fails if you knock him over jump straight up and if he parries you get a njp combo.His uppercut is so stupid slow that you wouldn't need to worry about it.(it can't even punish teleports ffs!) If anything his parry will get worse, not better. Sweep kick him alot, make the person fear using the parry.
