with sf4 i feel its more of the players that make it feel that way more so than the game itself. there just happens to be players in there that have 15+ years of experience in fighting game tournaments, which in any game with that kind of experience you should have the upper hand.
The mechanics of that game and style of gameplay (at a top-player's level) still lend themselves to guys who have highly sharpened specific skills over a long period of time.

main point im trying to say that its the players, not the game that makes the competition for it so high. there have been plenty of guys that jumped into sf4 as their first fighting game and did very well, that a lot of people argue wouldn't do well in other games where they don't have vortex (mostly people saying that about wolfkrone)

The game is still just as important, because the style of gameplay you have to play to compete at that level requires specific skills. There are people who'd stand a chance of beating those guys in Injustice, for example, that would never beat them in a game where the mechanics don't allow them to just get in for free and mix up easily -- regardless of experience.

i mean they have a chance of beating a lot of those guys in injustice because they don't play injustice. just like i have a chance of beating 90% of the people on here in soul calibur because they don't play soul calibur

Ryan Hart being invited is a great move guys. Look at his connection with the Capcom Community (which is much bigger than the NRS one). Him representing in an invitational like this and basically advertising MKX and the Mortal Kombat Cup to a wider audience is a BIG deal. You guys talk about wanting to see the community grow and then want to be secluded at the same time.

Stop your whining. Having Ryan there will be great for the scene.

I WILL EAT THIS GAME
My brain says Sonic.

My heart says Ketchup.

But my jellyfish instincts tell me that PL's plethora of big stage XP combined with everyone being on the relatively same brand new page are going to give Hat Tier the win.
