Nice. I plan on going for Sm4sh, Project M if its around, Injstustice, and MKX. If there is a tag game thats not a 3d fighter like Tekken I'll probably get involved at somepoint. I have a big weakness for team building metas like KoF, TvC and UMVC3...though not that latter anymore. Burned out HARD on Marvel after how damned broken it got with TAC and Xfactor and very VERY largely Dr. Doom's missile assist turning into the penultimate tool needed for all teams.

Taskmaster/Ironfist/Arthur

Team was designed for Iron Fist who I am a major fan of. Idea is Ironfist starts at a disadvantage on point and needs the corner to do damage...and his rising fang is ridiculously good for zoners. I put a character who zones with great corner carry on point and augment his zoning with rising fang/Daggers. Once he gets corner TAC to Ironfist for the kill. Use Taskmaster parabolic shot to lockdown incoming opponent after first guy is killed by fist. Pressure to death with Ironfist. If they escape Arthur Daggers are the most powerful projectile in the game and since I can wave dash inside of them as Ironfist he is now unable to be forced out by zoning and only his weak anti air hurts him.

Still a difficult team because its about as full frontal assault as it gets with both Tasky/Ironfist on it, but its great fun. I'd occassionaly toss Tasky for MODOK because I'm pretty good with him and he does the same job...he just doesn't lockdown folks well after you get them to the corner. Plus Arthur is one of the most powerful and overlooked anchors in the game...xfactor lvl 3 Arthur is as scary as Dark Phoenix IMO. Been ages since I played it though.

Theres a bunch of pittsburgh people going to EVO just for general FGs. I'm going and will probably enter MKX.

You guys should come out to CMUken when MKX drops, I know a few of us SF/anime players are planning on picking it up (myself included) facebook.com/groups/cmuken

shaowebb - are you new to morgantown? I used to live there for 2 years when I went to grad school... but I moved to Pittsburgh after graduation.

Yup. Turns out Morgantown mall on Saturday's has a bunch of Smashers meeting up at 4horseman comic store and they get to stay after hours...thing is those dudes play all fighters and compete in just about everything. Hell if there are 7 or more players on any game they tourney that night. This Saturday we'll even be playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Hoping I can get some MKX goin with em.

As is...any scene is good by my standards. I work at a place where dude's LIKE the idea of "truck nuts" if you catch my drift. Lord get me some gamers...

Once MKX drops, I expect there to be hella casuals. I for one will definitely be hitting up the lab, and for me it's never a contest of who is the greatest or whatever in these moments, it's all about learning the match up and helping the scene get stronger. I've got about four or five other friends who are down to play for serious casuals too.

I'm registered for Evo but will be seeded as though I'm coming from the Houston area (Since I don't want to be competing against my own KH brethren day 1) so when it comes to tourneys, don't doubt that I will be out for blood haha. After that I plan on going to plenty of majors and hitting up the MLG circuit.

But yeah, anyone in Pittsburgh or especially the Mt. Washington area, definitely hit me up if you want to lab it up and train for majors since I'll be down for casuals any time it isn't Monday through Friday before 7 pm lol.

Also, whether you have ps4...xbone. ..pc... whatever, I'm down to play too since my Hitbox works on all three.

P.S- I more or less hibernated through Injustice but when it came to MK9. .. man. I fought peeps like Pig of the Hut, Chris G, MIT, Gamerblake, and played casuals constantly with Cat, Scar, Starcharger, Showtime, Royale, and leveled up with the rest of the KH peeps so you know for damn sure I'm gonna take MKX seriously as a pro hobby haha.

@KH_Seraph Good to here. I liked injustice, but after I won the first few local tournies, I realized there wasn't that much local (pittsburgh) competition so I dropped it. If I like this game I'll stick with it as long as there's people to learn with (I try to play every 2D FG).

I live in Edgewood which isn't too far. I'm on that 8-5 life now too :v. We should get a bunch of guys to come out to CMUken for MKX when it first drops and work on building competition/labbing sessions from that.

But I mean, even being half as good is still pretty good because this is KH we are talking about here lol. Also, I will happily MM you if you visit Pittsburgh for casuals haha. I won't just go for babies then.

That being said though... broo, I will need to hit you up for a custom Hitbox case sometime man. Let me know your quotes... I want a Shaolin/black MK Dragon themed design. Your work is sick!

We'll get back into meeting up weekly when MKX drops for sure. Seraph and Titanman, we can maybe figure out a rotation between our spots and hitting up CMU or something.

I'll text you guys a couple ideas and see what you think.

Fellas we will be strong here in Pittsburgh But we gotta stick together. I was late to MK9, skipped IGAU, Im into my second competitive game completely fresh with vast amounts of knowledge gained. I look to contribute to the strength of our scene and forge a reputation for SCK

Listen Kabal is the only character that you could do that with lol KABAL yes Im playing the Kabal card. As far as a means for transportation. I compensated for those rides! Dont you remember the deliciousness of Mountain Dew?

Thanks for the FB group link! I'd been looking for it. Tomorrow I'm brining up some gear and some of us will be playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom casuals. I absolutely loved that game and I'm eager to play my Karas/Polimar with folks. Since several dudes there don't own sticks I'll probably get bro status just for showing up with my gear lol. I got sticks for PS2, Wii, and 360 and the WiiU cube adapter alongside of PSP component cables and import stuff on it. Variety corner=me lol. Can't wait to show em my adapter when it comes in that converts some of these sticks to wii for arcade stick TVC.

I'm expecting some MKX fun to go down as well soon. These dudes play everything.

How will Cmuken pick it up? They would have to buy PS4's and/or XB1's.

lol...went to Saturday night scuffle in Morgantown to play smash and TvC. Ended up playing a ton of Marvel for some reason. Next time I'll leave it at home and go for TvC.
