What's more precious to you; playing MKX or having MKX?

How are you getting Em Kay Ecks?

The absolute earliest way to play the retail version of MKX legally would be to purchase the game digitally. Assuming its pre-download compatible, you could be playing it faster than a person who lives at a Gamestop and purchases it as soon as midnight hits.

While I am extremely tempted to do so, I'm old school and need to have a physical copy of the disc at all times, so that if it were to piss me off, I would be able to simply eject the disc and toss it out the window as opposed to hurling my entire PS4. Another option would be to buy both versions. But I'm not about that life.

I'll be getting MKX digitally since I'm getting the Steam version. However, I almost always get a physical copy of the game since having the box itself is wonderful.

Fujin!
Going to get it on day one; but not at midnight. I was seriously thinking about buying it digitally so I can have it installed and ready to play at midnight, but I think I'm going to get it physically so it can be apart of my game collection...

Or maybe I should buy it digitally... or maybe I shouldn't! OR MAYBE I SHOULD! NOO! I CAN'T!!.... OR SHOULD I!?

Oh god, this is starting to become a hard decision to make... :(

For collecting purposes, I'm getting the disc. I also enjoy going to midnight releases with friends, so there's that. Otherwise though, digital download is the best option, especially for XBONE since you have to install the game anyway before you can play, which takes hours and hours.

I preordered when Goro was announced and decided I'd get off my ass at 11 pm when Shinnok was revealed in the trailer.

If you disconnect from xbox live and pull your ethernet cable, installs take 20 mins. If its online it will attempt to download patches for the game first before installing and that is what takes so long because some games have day 1 patches that are 8 gigs or more lol.

As to the question of when I will get my copy of MKX, I preordered via amazon so I will get it when it gets shipped to me.

I like having the physical copy, but I'm more than likely gonna go digital. I just am so pumped to play it. :)

Another thing to note is that if you plan on getting the PDP MKX pad for maximum up and down, you might just want to go to a midnight release. You can pre-order it at Gamestop. Might as well pick both up at the same time, no?

Physical copy, I hate buying games that are Digital only, except RE Remastered that was the only exception b/c there was no physical copy except GameCube.

I'm still undecided. I need to figure out soon whether to go PS3 or PC.

As for what I value most...having a community to share it with that treats each other well. I cannot tell you the amount of snearing and bullshit I put up with in every Marvel thread I ever viewed. The amount of talking down to posters that players gave each other and the amount of backlash over anyone posting anything other than the most common characters was horrific. You couldn't like anything in that game without someone shitting on you for it on the boards I was on. You occassionally got to share in really excited happy stuff and thats great, but I have never found any community as helpful as this one.

I'm going in on MKX because quite frankly I respect its community and their actions more than any other fighting game community out there. They just genuinely respect each other's rights to enjoy whoever they like and try to help each other level up here. Not nearly as much at each others throat style posts happen here and its great. This is why I'm here...you guys don't make the game unfun to be a part of.

What is going on guys, Ya Boi Zyphox here.
My plan is to get the xbox version a few days before from a store that i know here (they always do it, i got COD AW early and Master Chief Collection early too) and then PS4 digitally on day 1. or maybe in reverse order idk yet honestly.

I think most my XONE games are actually digital downloads at this point. I don't really mind not having a hard copy.

But my hard drive space is already pretty full and I already have to uninstall things often... then again, most games with physical discs still require me to install a bunch, so that might be reason to get the digital version anyway.

I'm currently battling with this decision after learning no place near me is doing a midnight launch. I think I'm gonna go digital on Xbone so I can play as soon as possible, and the next day pick up a physical copy for 360. Best of both worlds.

I'm oldschool too and much prefer having the physical game.

I pre-ordered it on PSN a week or so ago because from my understanding, you get to play it two hours ahead of its launch. Can't go wrong with that, y'know.

I plan on letting the game download at night and playing it early in the morning.
It should allow you to download it some time before the game goes live. Like, a few days before, that way you're prepped to play it as soon as they unlock it. It's how Steam works and they've done the same thing before for other games. They let you download it in advance but you're locked out of it and then they unlock it and boom, you're set.
