IIRC, Boon deconfirmed other list some time ago, so the "don't comment on guesses" isn't very true, unless he is speaking about himself, which could be totally acceptable.
Been wondering that myself. Is the person on the tower who you fight or who you fight as? Remember the tower in MK9 only had a handful of scenarios that you selected your character for. Though I get that these towers are completely different, it's still an honest question. I could see a lot of fighters showing up in the tower who aren't playable, considering that non-playable main cast have shown up for challenges in a lot of mk games.

Yes, but to me the all codename thing overturn the leak, plus he mentions Tanya, BoRaiCho, Tremor, Frost and Li Mei as playable while Cage and sonya as dlc. But who knows really, all will be confirmed in april 14th.

I'm not being "a hipster for the sake of doing so" I'm saying it's extremely redundant to have a descendant of two popular characters, give them a trait from both Sonya, and Johnny Cage; and then still shoehorn in both Sonya and Johnny. Those to spots that would be taken by them could easily go to a new character, or someone who doesn't have a descendant we know of like Rain or Shinnok. Goro technically isn't even part of the main roster considering you more or less have to pay $5 dollars for him so that argument is moot. There is most definitely an easy way out, it's copying and pasting even more characters that we've played for the last 20 years onto something that could go above and beyond that.
