Yeah the reason I'm referring to MK9 rather than 4 or DA or any of the other games is because the timeline was altered in MK9

Where does it say that it was given to other gods? Quan Chi had it in MK9.

THe amulet chronology is:

-Shinnok made it
-Raiden beat him and took it (Sacrificing an unknown species in the process)
-Gave it to Fujin, Fire, Water, and Earth to protect
-Sub beat them stole it, gave it to Quan
-Quan made a fake, used it to free Shinnok after Shao Kahn's defeat.

-Raiden sucks Shinnok into it after the war
-Someone tells SF that Mileena has it, they tell Kotal
-Kotal goes to get her and attempts to suck Kotal in

But, why does Shao Kahn have to go down before Shinnok can come back? Is SHinnok's absorption like his original defeat where he just goes back to Netherrealm or is it like Quan Chi's ending where he becomes a part of it? How does Mileena get it, and who tells the SF about it? Obviously Mileena's plan fails, but does Kotal take the stone? Does he give it back to Raiden or SF or keep it for himself?

No, they were for one chapter, now they're even. For the next two weeks, the digital copies will run ahead of the physical, but then the physical will release three chapters so that the third comes out physically before digitally.

No, the issue that came out today was in last weeks issue.
Depending on how many issues they will add in the next physical copy it would be one or two issues a head for a while.
Since the issue next Sunday will be the first part of the physical copy.

No. The physical copy comes out every 3 weeks with the equivalent of three digital issues in it. Trust me. Next sunday we get a new digital copy, same the sunday after that, then on the wednesday the physical release comes out with those previously released issues, and the one that will be due to be released on the sunday.
