As long as it's optional only I'm ok with this. Like if you do x,y, and z in game to unlock a krypt costume is there, but at the same time you can skip all that by just buying it. That's fine because it doesn't restrict anyone.

Now if you have to buy the coins to open up unlockables or something like that then that's different story.

For $5 you get the evo pack, 20% goes to the pot for evo to support the tournament scene in return you get a supporter badge, in game viewing ticket and custom skin similar to the one like corsair. I know. I just found the pic funny lol. Real money for coins is fine by me. I would never, but I'm sure some would. Earning coins requires playing the game...I wouldn't sacrifice my time/practice.

Dota does this, right? You buy in-game items and a part of the price goes to tournament pots.
Yeah it's a great idea. NRS should really try to work on such stuff.

I somewhat support this providing it's nothing to do with core gameplay or characters. If people want to pay to win that's fine. I hope it's just costumes to be honest, and none of this 'costume pack' rubbish. Let people pick one's they actually want. Let's see if it's true first...

Sorry I posted this walking my kids to school...
for the most part I think micro transactions lost meaning for full retail games....I mean can't you define skins as such then and in that case fighting game always had them...
To me they have a bad connotation as in paying something to remove a restriction or such...
If it has a mechanic where you have a certain # of continues or stamina in the living towers that would suck...

I think anything to support tournaments would be great ...I'm sure there are some legal hurdles and things but I would be totally down for it...

This is fine so long as they don't make the Koins very rare and hard to get without a grid with each character...to me KI pushes it with this and I would be sad if it is implemented the same way...
But as only a shortcut I would be okay with it..

There are a ton of hypocrites, regarding microtransactions. As long as you keep buying them companies will keep using the strategy. Complaining about it and then purchasing one does not help lol.
