How is true skill decided/measured?

Not 100% sure, really. I'd imagine it would go up by beating people that have the same/higher True Skill than you and it goes down if you lose to someone with a lower one.

Yeah, for whatever reason, people associate skill to your level instead of your win/loss ratio and what have you. It's pretty fucking dumb.

If I was playing someone who was level 50 and had 4k wins and 250 losses, I'd be more worried about him than a level 95 with 9k wins and 4300 losses.

And also the true skill matters, although it's just fucking bullshit lol, my highest true skill was 38 but it's really hard to keep it like that, because even if you lose once or twice, or stupid disconnect cuz of lags, it will impact your true skill.
Espacialy when I play casuals, my true skill is going down. It goes up if I play against players with higher true skill then me.

I was playing against this Hawkgirl with my Martian, we played through the first match then half way through the second game he quits. The message I get from him two minutes later says "fuck you gg"

Oh yeah and when I looked at his profile his bio said "64 year old Marine"...

That's where the bulk of mine originates from. I get it from player matches sometimes as well.

Mainly after I blow someone up in ranked and they challenge me to a FT5 or something.

Two days ago, I waited so long on ranked to find someone. So I decided to go to a KOTH room.
I pressed on player match > koth, and waited to find a lobby.

I waited for my turn, there were one or two "good" players. They rage quit of-course.
I bodied everyone there, and then I got a message from someone saying: "Get out of my KOTH! You're ruin the game with your spam and bullshit combos! Why are you trying to win so hard? It's just a game! Get a life."
I started explaining and all that bullshit because I just can't keep my mouth close.

And then, this "guy" said I'm sorry. Now, it was a girl, not a guy, and she said: "I'm sorry for my bad language, I'm on my month bleeding" (WTF).
She kept messaging me and asked for my facebook page, lol...

Uh, no? I don't recall us ever playing on ranked, much less me rage quitting against you.

Quan Chi was someone I rarely ever came across, especially in ranked. So, perhaps you have me confused with someone else.

According to forsaken_mizery, me starting with grundy and my opponent going to lex, and then I go sinestro and my opponent goes scorpuon, then I go catwoman and my opponent goes shazam, I'm the one counterpicking.

Then I'm about to play him, he goes WoWo and I go grundy. And apparently that's STILL a counterpick on my part. He raged quit on me before the match even started.
