Everyone needs to wake up and be serious here. I'm not downplaying Batman, I'm being honest. I have actually been upplaying Batman ever since the last patch. I used to say things like "Batman only loses to Aquaman and nobody else" that was the biggest bill I ever gave TYM. I got away with so many things in so many tournaments, whereas if the player I was facing knew how to play against Batman they would have blown me the hell up. But as the game evolves and people find out how to fuzzy Batman's mixups and take advantage of his terribad wakeups, he actually has a harder time against alot of the cast then the top tier does.

Everyone is so used to seeing Batman in so many top 8's, that they automatically assume he is a top tier character. He is not. Nobody else is even getting top 16 at majors with this character anymore besides me, which should show you he's not that dominant of a tournament character as people may think. He has his fair share of problems, and he doesn't dominate any character. To be honest Batman loses for sure to Aquaman GL Martian Zod, and debatable loses to Flash Raven Harley Nightwing. He has zero 7-3 matchups, he literally dominates nobody. So Batman has around 4-8 losing matchups, around 6-9 winning matchups, and all the rest are 5-5. How is that a top tier character in any way shape or form?

TLDR; wake up TYM. I'm not downplaying Batman. I have finally seen the light and just stopped upplaying him

Yes, I mentioned losing your first health bar in reference to both how many times minimum Bane has to get in against hitbox Zod per match if you never guess wrong on knockdown in your entire life and how much of a problem that can be for him. In the case of my forgiveness vs the ongoing blowups, I now present the following quote from the Tier List From Your Character's Eyes thread into evidence as Exhibit A:

I will apologize for Cyrax and some of the crazy things he was capable of in MK9, but everyone else that ever downplayed Reptile needs to apologize.



There are some great quotes I can dig up about Cyrax needing his nearly unbreakable command grab, and after losing his guaranteed bomb setup after it would drop him to mid-tier. Some of the quotes from this thread about how Cyber Sub is tough MU for Smoke, however, are filled with quoted that should be taken back, or asked for forgiveness:

You get an F for FECES spewing from your mouth. You know what's worse than than going from 3rd best to 12th? (Probably 10th, but whatever)

Going from 3rd best to dead last. Something you did to Scorpion. Something you are directly 100% responsible for.

Even after Scorp was nerfed into oblivion you said it wasn't enough and he was still broke. I've been wrong before, nobody's perfect, but this made it clear you have no idea what you're talking about and you'll hurt the game, the community, and it's players for your own agendas and personal gain.

When you measure DS in contrast to the rest of the cast without including DLC. (which is where he was measured before, so excluding Batgirl, Zod and MMH) Deathstroke EASILY makes the top 10. So when we're comparing fairly, DS went from 3rd to 6th or 7th, with these characters clearly being better than DS.

2. Bane
3. The Flash
4. Sinestro
5. Superman

Just to recap little David, you always say I'm responsible for DS. Even though it's not true, I'll take the ownership and say the job I did with DS (From 3rd to 6th) was far better than the job you did with Scorp. (3rd to last)

So that extra credit you turned in to help out with that F you got earlier turned out to be a D for Delusional Hypocrisy.

Personally I feel you should be held back to Injustice before moving on to MKX. You've got a lot of learning to do still.

Speaking of feces spewing from somebody's mouth, were you not the one who went on Aris' podcast and told everyone how amazingly balanced pre-patch Scorpion was?

I have not mentioned that you had something to do with Deathstroke's normalization for a very long time. Neither did I mention anything to 16 Bit or Paolo in Las Vegas. But for the sake of the argument, let me state the following.

As powerful as Aquaman, Batgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Zod are, people took several months to learn these characters and several others to place top 8. When pre-patch Scorpion was released, he had an immediate impact at last year's CEO. If Scorpion had zoned and shot projectiles, you, and the sheep that follow you in this community, would have lost your mind and called the character "game-breaking" and "the biggest threat to the game's balance" (kind of what you did with Sinestro's push block glitch).

All the Scorpions that showed up at CEO was your own doing. You are the one who started the scare. You held your podcast, Tom made his thread and REO held the stream deeming how broke he was. It was actually your sheep, Tom Brady's sheep, Pig's sheep, P2W's sheep and REO's sheep that lost their mind's over Scorpion. All of you were wrong. Before you held your podcast, Tom's thread and REO's stream, people just viewed Scorpion as a very very good character. Not "game breaking" and "the highest threat to the game's balance".

Need I remind you that at CEO, the Scorpions that made it to top 8 did not win and those players went to their main characters to win. Why people think CEO was proof Scorpion was broke is beyond me. If anything, it proved he was not broke, and you all screwed up. At least REO and Pig had the dignity to admit they were wrong.

And if you are implying that Sinestro's push block glitch wasn't game-breaking, you truly are a troubled student.

The bottom line is you were butt-hurt Deathstroke got normalized before Superman, Black Adam, Batman, Aquaman and whoever else. That sucked it happened and I wish the other characters would've gotten normalized sooner. That was not in my hands. But in the end, relative to the rest of the cast after the nerfs, DS is still very very good.

Meanwhile, your actions towards Scorpion totally destroyed him. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for Scorp. That is why you comparing the Deathstroke nerfs to Scorpion nerfs is a red herring.

That's not really accurate or fair.. PL was the first one out of the gate with the character on launch day. He downloaded the character, turned on his stream, and immediately went to work. He realized that the tele/jump tools were dumb right away and was ecstatic. So from that moment, Scorp was going to show up at the next major.

Anyone who saw a stream or downloaded the character for themselves immediately realized the implications of his tele frame data + j1/j3 and the threat of occasional hellfire. It's not like it was some kind of mysterious, deep meta that Dave and REO uncovered.

Yea I respect your passion on the topic and all but Scorpion was straight up stupid pre-patch and I didn't even read TYM at the time, I just watched people play him on stream.

Yes, and as we saw at CEO, once people were hip to his day 1 strats it was not easy for him to win. Hence why REO, Deg and PL all stopped using him in top 8. PL was actually the only player that used Scorp that actually won a match in top 8.

No, it wasn't a mysterious, deep meta. In fact, I would argue the hack job got full blown before anyone could uncover a meta. Mind you, the big rumor at the time was that CATWOMAN did well against Scorpion. If that was true, imagine what else could have been found.

The fact of the matter is people panicked close to Evo, realized they could lose, and the fix was in. It's still embarassing, but if people were straight up honest and said they didn't want to lose to Scorpion, then fine. However, if people truly felt he was broken, then I was sorely disappointed that people were not as riled up over Superman and Adam, who, BTW, are still considered GAME KILLERS to this day. A little honesty/transparency would go a long ways towards mending that fucking debacle.

No. Slips is just salty that Scorpion was over normalized. I do admit that Scorpion was "Kano'd". But so were Black Adam and Deathstroke.

Perfect Legend, who really struggled at that time, picked up pre-patch Scorpion and started beating people convincingly all of a sudden. REO did the same offline and online against quality competition. He would beat KDZ and Rico Suave 10:2, which he could never do, not even with pre-patch Batman.
