Before Injustice was released, people spoke very openly about their disgust with MK9's horrible online connection. And apparently NRS didn't take it seriously because Injustice's online connection wasn't that much better. There are many players that don't have the privilege of a local offline scene, so playing online is their only outlet to improve their skills. And the more players that are able to practice efficiently, the more confident they will be in the game and that will lead those players to want to travel to tournaments. NRS, if you want your game to grow, FIX THE ONLINE!

So in an attempt to scare NRS into taking this seriously, I would like to call for a boycott of MKX if the online isn't better than previous games.

Please Vote!

For the moment, I'll be happy to get the game just for the story mode and single player content. The 60$ spent on MK9 were worth it without online mode, so I'm sure MKX will be even better. But for the game to have a following for more than single player hours it has to have good online. I may not boycott, but I will support it.

I have the best connection.
He's just a troll, ignore him. I also have really good connection, and out of all the games I play, MK and Injustice are the worst in terms of online.

The lag creates an entirely different game, it creates a false sense of safety in a lot of attacks.

it would be a huge disappointment if the online was terrible, again. but I play offline so the only thing that could turn me off at this point is if the meta isn't up to par. im talking heavily based on footsies and spacing, and good reads being a MUST......... that way I can find a character with a safe armored cartwheel and say fuck your fundamentals

i can play only online mode because there is no many people playing mk in France, and of cause want a good online connection but i will play mkx even if online suck, like i do in mk9, i have still much more fun playing mk on steam with lags that playing injustice on ps4 without lags. MKX forever!

I live in Europe and in comparison to, lets say, US the FGC is practically nonexistent here. Offline play isn't really an option for everyone which is why netcode is so damn important to me. I will play this game competitively just like MK9 so the netcode will determine how long I will play it.

Boycotting the game would be a little on the extreme side and I really do want to keep supporting NRS in making better games every time, so unless they do something that puts European players at an unfair disadvantage in comparison to the rest of the world, I won't boycott the game. BUT, they goddamn better take netcode serious this time around because for a game that is getting so much love and care I expect nothing less than what KI has!

If you are going to buy the game regardless of whether the net code is good or not, then what incentive does NRS have to fix the net code?

Simply, because they care and want a better online experience for their supporters. It can't be argued that there wasn't any improvement from mk9 online to injustice online. They are aware this is an issue but I think trying to scare their potential sales with a petition isn't a valid way to express your concern. Even then, how will you know if online is better without giving them your money first? You going to wait for other peoples' opinions? Most people will get the game on release night. I know my preorder copy is waiting on me. Good online or trash, im in either way

Its not necessarily that I will buy the game regardless, its more that I am expecting the netcode to be at least an improvement over Injustice. I know, thats not saying a lot but it would at least make the game playable online and slow as progress may be, perhaps we will have the netcode we aks for in the next MK.

Also, if the netcode is satisfactory I will get the game for both the PS4 and PC. If its not, I will get in on PS4 only for the story and some occasional offline matches with friends.
