Philly/Pa Matchups Discussion

I would seriously like to get something going around my area...but, I would either need help or am willing to help anyone else setting a tournament up.

I understand Shock does alot of tournies and 9.95 is highly involved... is there anyway you guys could get me some real info?

Much appreciated.

I can't really help with planning the tournaments, but if you need help with anything I can try my best and I'll try to attend any events going on.

Do any of you guys hold casual sessions. I'm like 45 out from Philly (and the Sheraton for the matter) but trying to find some comp in the area since online is just rofl

Ninja, I session out of my apartment in Bensalem (NE philly suburb, 25 or 30 minutes from the airport up I-95 north) every Saturday, but it's not exclusively mortal kombat. We run Calibur 4, SSF4 and Marvel as well. We started as a calibur group, so generally speaking one of our three stations is almost always calibur, but we rotate the other games.

Actually I feel I should tell you, of the 8 or 9 regulars I have, only 3 of us are actually playing MK at all but you're still welcome to come out if you ever feel like it. Just PM me for info.

I spoke to JR the other day and he said he was talking to you guys about coming out there, but then plans fell apart cause ppl were dropping left and right. I'd LOVE to go and play anything with u guys. Me Miss Jooz =( But I mainly play MK now anyways (AE is by far the most boring-est SF ever. And I havent touched Marvel since April lol But I'll still play.)
Anyways, I think I might make ECT. Not too sure, but I'd like to know in advance when u guys are gonna be poppin and stuff so we (or just me) could make our way out there XD

Yo DK, I think the plan right now is for JR to come down on the 18th. That's not definitive but that seems to be what everybody wants to do at the moment.

Oh, and as a bonus, Kit's gonna be coming out

hey Storms....i was talking to Krayzie bone and Wonder chef and they lead me to u man. I live in Philadelphia as well man, i live on Cit lne avenue and i hit center city a lot.
Online MK9 is horrible and it's time for me to get into the game for real...so i wanna play with u man >< lol....atleast show me where r the communities for MK9 ya know. hit me up as soon as u can man, i will even give u my number.

I'm a little late, but Sporko holds gatherings in Bensalem. At least a couple of us play this game (as well as AE/MVC3/or Soul Calibur 4). Maybe look into messaging him on TYM if you can make it out there.

hey. that's awsm....though bensalem is really far from me! i dont have a car (it broke)....so i use buses or trains. i will message him as well, thnx man :)

i just moved to PA for school. (La Salle University) and I am looking to get back into this game. But I have nobody to practice with offline :( help me!!

I'm here and I want more people to practice with and go to tournaments with as well.
Getting to know someone who goes to VSM would be ideal.

I hear players Philly go there, but I honestly know of none.
I've got two CRT HDTV's right next to each other, perfect setup for high level MK.

Hey everyone. I realize this thread hasn't been touched in months, but I figure I'll use this instead of creating a new thread.

I've been really enjoying MK lately and would like to step up my game in 2012. I'm interested in putting together or finding some sessions in Philadelphia. I live on 4th and South and have 2x TVs and PS3s in my living room, so I would be able to host a gathering if people were interested.

I just thought I would post up here and get the ball rolling, see what the scene is like here in Philadelphia!
