Still Glad You Were Born?!
I'm probably upplaying matchups or downplaying some I don't know don't really care. This is how I see all of these matchups currently. Ones I don't have exp with I'll take the word from other players on. Wooooo a legit Bane MU chart get hype

Aquaman - 6-4

Ares - 6-4

Bane - 5-5

Batgirl - 4-6 or 5-5 don't have the exp with it

Batman - 5-5

Black Adam - 6-4

Catwoman - 7-3

Cyborg - 6-4

Deathstroke - 6-4

Doomsday - 6-4

The Flash - 4-6

Green Arrow - 7-3

Green Lantern - 6-4

Harley Quinn - 5-5 solely because I haven't played Saltface. Personally I see it 6-4 Bane.

Hawkgirl - 6-4

The Joker - 7-3

Killer Frost - 6-4

Lex Luthor - 5-5

Lobo - 7-3

Martian Manhunter - 5-5

Nightwing - 5-5 I really do just suck with this MU though so I don't know fuck it.

Raven - 5-5

Scorpion - 5-5

Shazam - 5-5 Shazam. Fuck Shazam. This character gets the salt flowing like no other. I am completely free to Shazam, Teleport destroys hope for an oki game. I hate this little shitbird character.

Sinestro - 5-5

Solomon Grundy - 8-2 Grundy gets shit on.

Superman - 5-5 I could be wrong I'm a pussy and don't play this MU I don't enjoy it.

Wonder Woman - 6-4

Zatanna - 3-7 It's like Shazam but more annoying

General Zod - 5-5

That's it for my mu chart, please critique where you see fit.

Advantage - 17
Disadvantage - 2-3 if Batgirl beats him
Even - 10

This is the chart when I consider Bane's insane knockdown pressure. Most of the even MUs go into Bane's favor on knockdown because they aren't getting up. Even when not considering knockdown game, Bane is completely broken. Wooo

Aquaman - 6-4

Ares - 6-4

Bane - 5-5

Batgirl - 4-6 or 5-5 don't have the exp with it

Batman - 5-5

Black Adam - 6-4

Catwoman - 7-3

Cyborg - 6-4

Deathstroke - 6-4

Doomsday - 6-4

The Flash - 4-6

Green Arrow - 7-3

Green Lantern - 6-4

Harley Quinn - 6-4

Hawkgirl - 6-4

The Joker - 7-3

This dash cancelling is real everyone... but I don't think it can save Bane from IAZB's.

Every character can shorten their dash by holding down or doing a normal/special at the end. Ive tested this with doomsday, catwoman, and other rushdowners.

IIRC
Doomsday can shorten his dash distance/duration by about 10%.
Bane can shorten his by about 25%.

Bane has the best of "this" in the game. As far as I know. But I am almost positive it won't save him from full screen IAZB's.

This is more towards the middle than the end, but same gist.

Does this holding down after dashing work similarly to wave dashing in UMVC3 or am I way off. I didn't know that just holding down after dashing would shorten banes dash frames considerably, also is GBS being streamed at 9 tonight?

You're a bit off. Refer to the tekken video, that's what its most similar to.

Interesting sucks that your recording device isn't working, I would love to see a demonstration of this as well as that f2d into 113 combo.
It's all spacing. You want to find that sweet spot where just the end of f2d connects. So in the corner space it out until that happens. Then you'll have extremely less recovery since you clipped him in the end, giving you enough time to full combo.

So can we talk about black Adam? When we were feeling it out it was 5-5, but I never see them having options against us that we haven't trained ourselves to deal with. All of his tools are way worse, and I dunno... I feel like he doesn't do well against us.

Thoughts? Don't think of what it is, think of how it will be.

I feel like Bane beats Black Adam. Bane armors through most frame traps ie b23 d1, trait cancels, and once Adam is knocked down its pretty done. Adam has a floaty jump and if he isn't always cancelling into dive kick, he's aad for free.

I can agree with this 100%. Matchup gets grinded out, numbers change. If a Zod doesn't know his Bane tricks he'll get wrecked. In a set between people who understand the matchup I can see it swinging either way.

9-1 though? Cmon now lol

Lol I'm still wondering who argued on behalf of any numbers other than 6-4 or 5-5, let alone 9-1? Zod - Lex might be 9-1 but there's no way anyone else gets molested that bad.

If only Grundy was like Bane :(
Is there anyone you think Grundy does better against than Bane does? I personally prefer using him in at least a few matches (i.e. Sinestro, Batman, Raven, maybe even MMH off the top of my head) but that's probably just entirely personal preference and not that he's objectively better against them.

The spacing can be a bit tricky but would be adjusted with time. I hope every Bane uses this. You'll have a low started, overhead starter, command grab and the regular options.
The low/overhead options that lead to full combo aren't fuzzy-able? Even if, this is a sick find. Comboing for ridiculous damage off a f2d without having to use two bars is awesome.

Regardless of how they block you're at advantage, so it doesn't matter too much. But to answer, no its not.
Between d.1 and f.2.d, maybe, because that's 11 to 24 frames. However, between command grab and f.2.d, being 20 and 24? Not so much.

True on the advantage but I meant like the full combo starter mixups though. Like can you start out blocking low to cover the somewhat faster low options (b1/b2) and then move to a high block on reaction if you see the f2d coming instead? I know there's only like 6/7 frames of difference between those lows and the overhead but you have to account for the ability to react to the 17/18 frames of startup animation prior to those 6/7 frames too, no? I feel like blocking low and pulling it to back instead if I see that f2d windup coming rather than a b1/b2 might be trainable but I could be completely wrong about that. Just wondering, really.

Harder to react to f.2.d than you'd think, and even if you block high theres no full-proof way to be sure he isn't just going to dash-cancel and then cancel that dash into a grab or other move.
People can't really react to our grabs that well, so I don't know where the idea of start-up is coming in because unless you've been trained to notice it and react accordingly, you'll get caught out.
People react to tick throws by neutral jumping, but you can't neutral jump a b.2 tick throw.
Likewise, people will react one of three ways at that range. Either they try to fuzzy and risk the grab, jump and risk the f.2.d, or they try to jab out which no one really has anything that beats f.2.d range (especially with armor and projectile immunity AND it auto-correcting). Its a guessing game that's done at a range where its near impossible to poke back.

So to answer directly, yes you can but you have the risk of getting command grabbed. Its still a guess, even if you fuzzy, because if you block the d.1 and go to block the f.2.d, you risk the tick throw. If you jump, you risk the f.2.d.

Raven and thats basically it lol because with Grundy and wcc you are constantly moving forward while bane has to go inch his way in or just special his way in

Thanks, dude. That's exactly what I was wondering. I knew you'd have to eat the grab if you were trying to fuzzy the low/overhead situation, just wanted to know if you really even could if you decided you don't care about the potential to have your back broken. And I know Bane gives no shits either way, which is all that matters lol.

To be exact, you'll either be at +3, +5, +1, or grabbing which isn't punishable outside of the literal hardest reads.

I know I've gotta be in the vast minority here but I honestly feel the same way about the Sinestro matchup. Chip trait shuts him down if you can land it, WCC keeps you moving forward, and mb swamp hands at least keeps him honest from afar with his trait charging and projectiles and whatnot if and when he does get away. I think that matchup is fun.

Batman, I just get salty every time his bullshit jump arc clears him right over my massive d2 range with Bane lol. Snatching him out of the air in 5f with Grundy is the sweetest revenge.

Pushblock into DP against j.2.
Its either a true block-string (ala pushblock glitch taking effect), or its a full damage punish. Either way, its great against batman.
