Take the last tournament for example. Theo, who's widely considered one of the very best, using a character in Aquaman who is widely considered one of the very best, was taken to the absolute limit by another player who might be one of the best, using a character who's... well, just pretty good? Get the fuck out of here. Doomsday is way better than half the characters everyone on this site cries about daily.

Doomsday is a 15-10 character on the list. And yes he is just pretty good.
He doesn't destroy characters (besides raven) and he has at least 4-7 bad mus. including one being 7-3 bane.
Me and noobe are better then most people. Not all obviously. (Or we'd be winning everything,). We place as much as we fail.

I definitely agree that you're better than most players, and you're the best Doomsday there is right now, but I stand by Doomsday, Batman, Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman all being in the same boat where they don't really destroy more than 1-2 characters tops but don't get destroyed by any either (Bane does not 7-3 Doomsday at all). The only other characters really vying for the rest of 10-5 are Bane and Sinestro who destroy some of the cast but lose some matchups BAD too. None of the above have better matchup charts than Doomsday; if they win some more dominantly they also lose some more dominantly. And even if you're adament that they're all better than him for some unexplained reason that still leaves him at like 11, so who else is potentially better too?

Trust me, my claims about Doomsday being underrated are in no way meant to discredit you. I just think he's one of the most tournament-viable characters in the game outside of the top four since he can hang in any matchup. It takes someone as good as yourself or Noobe to do it though, for sure.

I'd love to see these characters mu chart. I'm almost positive they would have a better mu chart. And I agree that ww, dd are in that same 15-1oish to 8 spot.

Why are you so certain it's not a 7-3 mu. Because I'm almost 100% it is.
Mmh, aqua, Zod, batgirl, superman, flash, sinestro, bane, and batman are ahead of dd.

Grundy is top 5. If he gets the life lead, you lose. If you're bodying him, he is building meter, he hits you once, he gets the life lead, and you lose. You can't zone him, you can't pressure him, you can't continue offense on wake up (unless you have an armor breaking tool), you can't out damage him, and you can't block him. If Tyrant had RM_NoBrows' damage, or NoBrows had Tyrants footsies, we'd have a complete Grundy.

I don't think any of those characters outside the top four are DEFINITIVELY better than Doomsday, which puts him in 5-10 range instead of firmly at 10 where you appear to have him. I'd probably put Flash and Superman above him myself but it's arguable. Bio's got Bane losing more matchups and some way worse than any that Doomsday loses, FK's got Batman losing just as many if not more and not bodying anyone the way Doomsday runs train on Raven, Sinestro charts always have some shitter matchups too, Wonder Woman's charts look pretty much the same, etc. We're splitting hairs at this point though. Plus half these matchup numbers are still up for debate anyway.

And I just don't see any way Bane bodies DD that bad. I agreed with HuntR when he said 5-5 instead of the usual 6-4 everyone else was touting, and I don't think anyone proved it wrong yet. I definitely don't think anyone swung that matchup a whole point in the opposite direction at least, that's for sure. He can deal with armor, he's got superb mobility, he can check those long ass dashes with ease; it seems pretty even to me or if anything he loses slightly. 7-3 my ass though.

It doesn't even really matter though. I think 5-12 or so in this game are all in the same interchangeable tier so there's really no need to even continue to argue the points. I absolutely respect your opinion given how insanely far you've taken your character but I definitely question whether you're playing the Bane matchup right though. Either way I'll be rooting for you hard at the next major when there's no Banes or Grundies left standing in the top five as usual lol.

If Max beats down every Doomsday he plays while DD players beat the other Bane's then there's a distinct possibility it's the other Bane players not playing the match up right.

Doomsday is very good when he can out footsie someone(especially without MB shoulder) and when he can go hog wild on KD. He can do neither against Bane. Bane has excellent post shoulder options too.
