Sup fellas,

Didn't know TYM had a Regional Matchmaking section, good to see! I live in "Kanton" OH, and just moved here last year from "Kolumbia" SC. A few of us here are getting into MK more heavily, and would like to network with some strong players to level up. OH obviously has a LOT of talent (PL, THTB, etc.) in MK, and I'd personally like to get to that level as well. Occasionally I can roll up to Columbus, and I'm always down to travel to Cleveland.

Also, we have casuals here in Canton at the Fox & Hound every Thursday night. Plenty of people here to room with for the night if anyone wanted to come out sometime. Hit a cracka up!

How far is Canton from CBus, an hour or so? Seems like it's closer than Cleveland, but I've only been there a couple of times, and it's been a while.

Canton is a good 2 hours away from Columbus. Speaking of which, I did not realize Canton was so close to where I live. About an hour drive for 40-something miles? OH SO DOABLE FOR ME! :D

Next Thursday, if I don't work, I'll see if I can join you guys.

Damn.

I'd like to come out to a game night in Cle or Canton some time (the Fox and Hound is pretty awesome), but it's tough with a 2 hour drive on a week night.

Yea, unfortunately Cbus is over an hour further from Canton than Cleveland is. I can make Cleveland in 45 mins when the traffic is good. But believe me, I'd MUCH rather make Cbus, the few times I've been there I've enjoyed the city. Cleveland on the other hand......

And yea, Fox & Hound is quite godlike!

@THTB: YOOO my Reptilian brother! We gotta show people how that lizard gets down! Let me know if you ever wanna roll out for some casuals, I'm outta college for the summer, so my schedule is free and I can host.

Is KarateLincoln the dude who was playing Marvel with a pad? The one I was playing MK with when we found the Kitana x-ray glitch?

ELK here from N. Kentucky as well ^_^

Anyone know of any MK Tournaments/Ranbats/Fight Nights in the greater Cincinatti area? I'd like to get some real practice in without having to deal with online lag.

Nice! I knew they were running it as a side-tournament this season, but had no idea that they were making it a main next season.

Arcade Legacy also has game nights every Thursday. I'm not sure what the admission for game night is is, but usually it's $10 admission to play all day for the ranbats. If you've never been, the place is really nice and the owner, Jesse, is super cool. The best MK9 regulars there are Voulkan, Derrick Legend and Arkayne, though I don't know if Voulkan shows up every week, pretty sure Derrick does. Nick McLovin is also good but I dunno if he goes often. Everyone else is still learning so there's a wide variety of skill levels. You should check the SRK Cinci thread for interest, since not all of those guys shows up at every game night/ranbat.

Yeah, once I get everything sorted out with my bills and stuff, I'll start coming out to Canton.

I've been to Arcade Legacy twice when it was Arcade Legends: first to get a reality check at a Guilty Gear tournament :)P) and second to go to a fight night, but instead played some Rock Band or Guitar Hero game with a friend instead. I look forward to finally visiting the new place (^_^)

I guess I'll post up since I live in Ohio in another K city. Kambridge. I've got no comp since I live in the middle of nowhere unfortunately, but i live almost halfway between Kanton and Kolumbus. I go up to Kanton sometimes I've made it to Kolumbus once, for BBG, but I would like to get over for a game night sometime.
