Woah, Columbus has a scene? You guys should come play us sometime.

I know a while back a Cbus person talked a mighty lot of trash about us then never came to back it up...

That would be me.....And I would come to back it up, but the poverty life is real and I can't travel much

Shame though; I would love to see more people show up to our events. If I hold a Brutality event in a month or so, any chance of you guys showing up?

(Also the irony; someone called Cool_Prizes knows the poverty life. Now I can't help but think the prizes are Kool-Aid and bus tokens :p)

Cool Prizes was a joke made to insult me by the columbus scene.....I actually kinda liked the name
If I go to a major, I'll sign up as Angry Joshua......If anyone thats not from ohio calls me Cool_Prizes, I might get into a fist fight lol

For Injustice? I doubt it.

I know Cinci is going to have a "Last Huzzah" for the game next Thursday, but other than that I think everyone is done sadly.

For MKX, I know Arcade Legacy is planning to go in strong, but I'm not entirely sure how much of our scene will end up sticking with it considering we've all currently picked up other games.
I know I won't be competing in it unless customs kill Smash 4.

At Arcade Legacy in Cincinnati, I will be running a monthly, low cost tournament for MKX and KI called Brutality. My goal is to get at least 16 players into the game consistently.

The upcoming Brutality - April 2015 has 11 people confirmed on Facebook, and with luck everyone will show and have a good time. There is a TYM thread with more information:

Along with my initial goal of 16 competent players, I intend to bring back the PowerUp Podcast. The focus will be more local / regional, with a definite interest in all of the goings-on in Ohio. Topics will lean heavily toward MKX, and we may also discuss more general FGC happenings.

Arcade Legacy will have another monthly that will have MKX, as long as participant numbers stay up. Brutality will remain active indefinitely this time, because I am that dedicated to an MKX scene in our area.

Lastly, I will be producing HD video content for YouTube and articles for MKX that will be published on the PowerUp blog site. I also have a freelance system in place that will give people a bit of money in return for their valuable FGC content. So that would be open to more games than only MKX. And that's what I'll be doing for Southwest Ohio specifically, and the region in general. I hope people get hype!

@Geochron Yeah, I felt bad that I had forgotten Kiest's event was on the same day. April 18th was the only weekend I had available to run Brutality, and I really wanted to do something for release month! : )

I already mentioned this on FB, but I want anyone who was going to Nana-Kakuto-Geemu to keep to their plans and support Kiest and the Columbus scene. There will be plenty of Brutalities and other events in the future!

Oh, one more thing. I would love to offer free advertising to any Ohio or regional MKX scene in the following way. If you provide me with a splash page at 1280x720 pixels, with all necessary information, and designed to be visually appealing, I will include it on the Brutality stream and YouTube uploads. It's not much, I know, but a little something that I want to offer to show my support for fellow players and organizers. Feel free to PM me about this : )

@Osirun Nathan, feel free to make a thread just for your group, and also an event thread in HERE when need be. Then you can edit it & keep bumping it for or make a new one each time. Your choice, but feel free to do it outside of this thread for more exposure.

And tag me in it so I can tweet it out etc :coffee:
