For anyone who hates the way NRS does patches

Go spend a month in the Dark Souls community http://farfire.darksoulsii.com/pc/information/index.html . Don't know how hard (because Fromsoft never posts solid numbers or info, either because of the Japanese translation thing or everything they do related to Souls games must be mysterious and up to us to figure out) but I think this is like the third time spells are getting nerfed, including some that have gotten nerfed, buffed and now nerfed again and some that were accidentally nerfed in a prior patch. This would be more akin to spending your first week of MKX leaning Terra\Forr, them getting nerfed to F-tier, switching to Cassie, having her nerfed, then learning Scorpion only to have all ninjas get hit with the stick. So think about that next time NRS tries to make a game balanced without taking the Capcom route.

Real talk, anyone see these yet and hella confused?

MK1 is the best MK period.
if cyborg cant get shit mid screen or open ppl up. why the are all his strings interuptable? Also with his shitty trait they should have left the cool down the same. They should have gave him 0 frame cancel type stuff to do crazy cancel combos. that would have been sick

dark souls isn't meant to be a competitive game though.
from basically nerfs things the community finds to be unfun/broken. the magic seems to get nerfed/buffed as to not have the fei long effect and keep each school pretty close in effectiveness while maintaining the variety they bring.
i think this is a great patch for the game and i loved sorcery but in the current state of the game it is a much better option than the others as far as utility is concerned imo so a nerf there is good.
the MS needs to get patched again though. the fucking thing makes 90% of weapons unviable.

And you are comparing the patching of a fighting game with the patching an action adventure RPG because?

You should compare how NRS patches vs how Capcom/Team Ninja/Namco patches.

And compare how FROM patches vs how Bethesda or SquareEnix patches.

I was half joking, but there is a large group of players that do compare the PVP elements to fighters on the basis that a lot of the fundamentals and lingo is the same, i.e. wakeups, oki, dead angling is DS talk for cross-ups, footsies, etc.

You'd be surprised how competitive things are. Tourneys used to run all the time in the first game (online only of course)

Regardless of genre or developer, I don't believe there's an excuse for shitty patch notes in this day and age.

yeah i know but i think it's not really worth doing that in an unbalanced, latency driven game. it's fun and has a good deal of depth but taking it as seriously as a fighting game is mistake. i feel from just wants to make a fun experience, not necessarily a balanced one like fighting game devs try to.
