How important are wins Then and Now?

Hey guys just wanted to give people on TYM something good to Talk about this evening, I have been wondering are wins NOW as important as wins THEN?. When the 1.06 patch came out i feel it was the time that players could really show what they are made of , it was the final patch of the game and top players that didnt get results needed some and fast!. The biggest event just passed and everyone knows that The Young and talented Sonic Fox won Evo, but we cant forget who came in second the Zod father, Pig of the hut. The whole top 8 at evo are pretty much the best players that this game has to offer!.

But what about up coming Events WCW for example, since evo has already passed would people really care about who wins this event? Or are people just waiting around for MKX? I feel that Injustice is a great game that we can still all improve on. I think that MKX might come out in late 2015 so we might have another year of injustice waiting for us and if we do will people even care about tournament placings? or just say who cares when MKX? please let me know how you feel

I find EVO is the beginning of the new era of Injustice. It wasn't until a couple of months ago that the meta was figured out anyway. So I'd say wins are more important now and going forward.
