How Well Does The PS4 Controller Work

On PS4 or PC? It's a Dualshock controller. So if you've played with any other Playstation controller, you'll know what to expect. If you haven't, it's one of the best D-Pads out there. For PC, I don't know how stable the PS4 controller is on there. Did they ever release official drivers for it? Did the unofficial ones ever improve?

Ps4 pad is lightyears ahead of the Ps3 pad imo. I can actually have decent execution on the Ps4 pad. Ps3 pad is just too tiny.

You can use the PS4 pad for PS3, PS4, and I believe the PC as well. It's an excellent pad to use for fighting games, and one I would recommend to anyone.

It works well but is slightly different than the PS3 pad. Overall an improvement though..

The only problem you might find is if the battery is low it might lag or drop inputs, though I believe that is because it is also projecting light... If you pay attention to this or play with it plugged in though, you shouldn't experience this problem.

The pad is excellent if a bit weird at first. What I mean by weird is that normally my hand at rest position on the PS3 pad makes it so that on PS4 my thumbs rested closer to the joysticks than the pad. It's been a week now that I got my PS4 and I've adjusted to this. The buttons are also good but are more spaced out than the PS3 controller. Right now I'm still adjusting to this as I tend to hit 4 by accident when doing 323 with Deathstroke. It doesn't happen often and once I adjust to the width of the controller it will be fine. Controller is great.

I use the DualShock 4 on PC, it works great and the controller is very comfy... but the sticks are extremely sensitive when I use it on PC Injustice, for some reason.
It'd be perfect on PS4.

I don't know who that is...
It works pretty good, I've been playing on stick for about 2 years now and I had no problem doing bnbs on the ps4 pad the first time I tried it out.

Does it really do that? I don't think I've ever had that issue. If I did I didn't notice.

The pad itself is great. But.. If you play FPS's or sports games that require analog.. You'll notice that the rubber on the sticks deteriorates pretty quickly. Thankfully I have 4 controllers for my ps4. If only the Xbox one controller had a ps4 pad.. And a ps4 controller had XBox One's analogs... That would be an amazing controller.

Oooooooh, THAT one I did hear about, but I'd heard the Cronus had issues thus leading to a tournament ban. Actually, I made an article on this subject. So I sort of dismissed it as an option.
Oh, really? From what I'd read it's been going well for people, but I wouldn't know from self experience.
Seems reasonable to not use something like that in a tournament.

I haven't needed something like it because I'm fine with using the DS4 with PS4 and it was easy to set the DS4 up with PC, but I can see why others would want it.

This ought to clarify where I'm coming from:

However, it's been about six months since that notice. Perhaps improvements have been made to Cronus since, although I wouldn't be aware of it. I know a friend who uses Cronus and he sometimes has difficulty getting it to cooperate.

Right. Makes sense that they're banned, doesn't seem too reliable for tournaments.

Although there is a later version of it out now, though.
