Especially many of the 30 y.o hardcore fans, watching their precious MK changing so much.. The smartest way to please us is throwing a majestic classic character like Raiden straight to our face. And it works

It totally doesn't. Raiden never got his GED, and basic science was never his strong suit, let alone meteorology.
