How much would "One More Patch" mean?

Yup they don't count at all, me winning mlg don't count cause smoke reset, me placing second at evo don't Count cause kabal, placing with lao etc. Oh your best cage got 3-0 by moi at anaheim after "learning how to block f413" I was still getting in that ass even when people knew they can poke in between that string so please don't compare pumpkin mmmkay?

one more patch would be too little too late. honestly i think if we took out DLC characters the game would be way better. even though aquaman is top tier he isnt as top tier as things like t4 jin, vanilla sf4 sagat, AE 2010 twins, prepatch kokonoe or sc4 hilde. honestly if they want dlcs for the game, they should be developed at the same time as the rest of the game so they don't end up being extremely poorly designed and being too strong.

Im just pointing out how stupid that line of thinking is. Chris G won because he has some of the best defense in the scene and his reads were on point. He literally just got a top 8 at the last major as well. Its like saying PPJ won NEC because no one could deal with mace charge.

You also said the top tier have dominated since day 1 in Injustice which is straight up false. Batgirl, Bane, MMH, Aquaman, Zod didnt dominate when the game or they first came out, at first it was Superman and Black Adam. Now those characters dominate and there is no Superman or Black Adam in sight. Injustice has gone through pretty much the same progression as MK9 did.

I do agree with the walkspeeds being too slow. The problem is some of the best walkspeeds/mobility options can only be used by the top tiers(Like air dash)

So superman and back adam weren't top tier pre patch? What am I missing here?

Nah not really. The top tiers were always the ones winning. The tiers just changed when the patches hit.

The difference is, in Injustice all the bullshit the top tiers have is incredibly easy to do, requires very little skill and execution compared to the top tiers in MK9. Aquaman, Superman, Black Adam, Batgirl, etc. etc. are all very easy to pull off their pressure strings without fail, and confirm easily into full combos.

That's why I don't like injustice. It's far too easy to do BS in this game. From day one there were character who have had easy, near-unreactable, safe 50/50's leading into more 50/50's. That type of stuff should not be in a footsie based fighter. When's MKx.

You're kind of making his point here... I mean, back then Superman and BA were the top tiers, whereas now it's MMH/BG/AM, but regardless it was top tiers dominating.

A better counterpoint would be to point to the fact that more Doomsday players are placing than AM players. That CW is making top 8 at a LOT of majors. That Chris G just made top 8 with Arrow again. That Batman is consistently in the top 8. Shazam making multiple top 8 appearances this late into the game's life. Basically even the top 8s tend to be diverse, even if the same characters are hitting 1st place a lot right now.

Also Zod has yet to dominate... might he maybe not be all that he's cracked up to be?

Honestly if characters in this game had normals with the reach and speed of aquaman, gl, and etc. Then things would change drastically. Like if catwoman had normals like rose does in sf, she would have a much better time vs aquaman. But cant have the best of all worlds.

Honestly at this point people should just take injustice for what it is and shut up. We know aquaman and mmh are top tier and nothing is going to change that. Grow a pair and learn the matchup and if you arent down for the struggle pick up a secondary. It is what it is and at this point thats all you can do. I actually really like this game but the pissing and moaning by the community makes it far less enjoyble.

Better walk speeds and mobility in general would bring the most amount of people back to the game. Esp. for the weaker characters who don't have good footsies or vortexes.

When the most recent patch came out I remember the short period of the game where "everyone was balanced" and "there's no MU worse than 4-6". And all along people should have known that the game would develop like any competitive fighter gamey thing would.

Does "One More Patch" mean there wouldn't be a heavy dominant top tier? No, SF4 has been updating for over half a decade and it's not balanced.

Even if we magically got our final patch and we went through the whole "everyone is viable" thing again. It wouldn't last, so take the game for what it is.
