I was wondering, with the darker tone this series is heading towards, will characters like Johnny Cage make the cut? He's one of my favourites but I feel he would be out of place.

You saw his Fatality with the FAKE FIGHTER award right? He was "trolling" and being a jokster during it. But his other one (the MK2 fatalities combined) he was Mr. serious. He can make it.
