I would like to come to this. I could bring my PS3, some sticks, and my copy of Street Fighter 4.( I used to live in Smithtown, ironically lol)

Yes, but I think you said you live in lynbrook, right? We can meet up and get some matches in... I can def teach you about the game so you can come to the January tournament and play.

Rob, I know you're not into UMK3, but you should def get down with us and see about learning the game... it's really a lot of fun...and I live 5 mins from you.

Im not sure if Im going or not. I want to go, but if I went I would definately want to enter the Street Fighter 4 tournament. The problem is SF4 is being played on xbox 360 according to the first post. And since Im a PS3 player my stick wont work on 360. I dont know how it works at these things since ive never been to one. Are sticks provided? Will someone let you borrow one? Is it definately being played on 360? Anyway if someone can anwser some of these questions it would help me figure out what im doing.
UMK3 in and of itself is not enough of a reason for me to go just for that, since Ive never really played it anyway. But if I did go for Street Fighter 4, Id give UMK3 a try to.

As a matter of fact, I didn't even realize they were running it on the 360 since I'm so used to seeing the PS3 as tournament standard for SF4. He said that someone lending you a stick won't be a problem, shouldn't be a big deal, plus, I think we have a few sticks that will be there... what kind of stick do you use? I have a Happ competition stick that works just fine on 360 if you want to use it.

Coming to them and bringing people is always the best way. Helping promote them and getting people there... people being there and getting exposure to high level play is what we need.
