DBZ Kai to air on Toonami block.

Never really got into Kai. I was raised on that shit in the 90s as well and I loved it.

I remember when they FINALLY continued the Ginyu Saga from when Goku first lands on Namek. I remember how they used to start it all over again after that episode. It was annoying as hell.

THEN. The crowning moment was when "Transformed At Last" aired. omfg, I was so hyped up for that.

That was probably the best moment in the entire series. Goku going Super Saiyan was just... #Kreygasm

Had the series actually ended at Frieza, I don't think ANYONE could be upset, because it would've been an amazing thing.

As far as Kai goes, I'm actually a bigger fan of Kai than I am the old Funi dub. Mainly because, now that I reflect on it, the music was probably the only thing that kept that dub from being downright bad. It was a bunch of newcomer VAs coming in...Kai pretty much is a lot of those same VAs practically taking the characters into their own styles much better, and even some much-needed changes in the cast (If you say Nadolny is better than Clinkenbeard, then you must think kids between ages 9-12 should sound like they've been chain smoking since birth LOL...same with Frieza's change).

Agreed. I think the only thing that was equal to it or better than it was Gohan going Super Saiyan 2. However, I don't approve of how the translation was handled. I believe in the Japanese version, he didn't talk to himself or anything, and if he did, he didn't say as much. He just lost it and went BOOM.

Yeah, Kai English dub goes with the original "just sit there and snap". The added dialogue for the Funi dub was IMO blah.

Also, I wish in Kai they took Sabat off of so many characters. He voices way too many, and you can tell they're all him easily. It's not like with Schemmel, where I didn't even recognize anything Goku-like in Pikkon.

It's the same with Trunks and tourney announcer. You could tell at first if you really payed attention, but Vale slowly made Trunks a lot more distinct from announcer.

Oh yeah I remembered that, I was like wtf gonna watch the whole thing again? lol I also remember they re aired it from the beginning back in 2003, and then continued all the way to the Kid Buu saga.

Holy shit, I used to think this only happened to us (the UK). They did the exact same fucking thing just after Goten and Trunks fused for the first time leading into the Evil/Super Buu saga.

I didn't watch the rest until years later, kinda glad I did though otherwise I would've been stuck watching the crappy Ocean dub VA for Vegito.

Yo man for me Vegeta going super sayian was the greatest thing ever. And vegeta blowing himself up to protect against Buu was great as well.

Man I miss the old Toonami dub with Bruce Falconer music, and Sabat voicing Vegeta until Drummod took over during the Frieza saga. Thats exactly how I remember watching it. I've seen videos of the Kai Dub and Gohan voicing sounds like he is a little girl though.

When Trunks killed Mecha Frieza with ease I was like Dayumm!!! lol and When Goku and Frieza had their battle on Namek, it felt like 6 months when the battle finally ended.

Glad it's Kai and not Z. No offense to Z fans but man that dub sounds horrible, not to mention there's a ridiculous amount of annoying fillers, it has good music though. Kai's pacing and english voice acting is waaaay better.

I hated DBZ when it first came out to the states. Every time gokuo would get to Namek the next episode was Tree Of Light, Dead Zone or Worlds Strongest. For yrs this abuse happened until they finally aired the rest of the show (after i started renting really bad dub's from a store with subtitles).

In regards to KAI i do like how they cut off a lot of the bs and i am going to watch it since it was restarted. I just wish the made they whole show look like the intro to Kai (which looks amazing). @THTB i agree i feel Kai is more close to the source.

When i use to rent the VHS tapes i would copy them and like i said the quality was real bad. Auto tracking just killed the VHS tapes at times. Reminded me of real shity real video
