Come On Die Young
Give Sheeva's ex telestomp full armor. Right now it's a waste of a meter since it doesn't change the properties of the move or grant safety.
I disagree with this. I have no problem with armor on the way up, but having it on the way down as well gives the opponent no option but to jump it with such a tiny window to counter. Could you imagine HAVING to properly jump the attack 3 times in a row if she has full meter?

Do F3, 2, back forward 4 as fast as possible, then press back and block. I'm sorry this is difficult for you?
Sorry, I thought we were talking about the block inf. Doing a simple Dash Cancel IS simple, but I MEANT countless hours trying to master
the DC mix ups (3, 2, BF4, B BLK... repeat or insert attack) consistently, Not B F 4, B BLK. Doesn't sound like you play with him.

But anyways, my point was; what did you guys do before they nerfed characters? Stop playing, or work around it?
Does anyone remember Bo Rai Cho from MKD? (double stick hit free throw) Or Dairou (spammy super fast backdrop (unblockable))?
Those guys were NOT nerfed but we kept playing and worked around it. You have no excuses!

Come At Me Bro
Main-Kung Lao
buff-Kung lao
nerf-no one

I feel kung lao should be buffed or tweaked by:
-making 2,4 spin not stance oriented this shits been driving me crazy only one question:why? did you forget nrs or did you do this purposely
-i love his ex low for its versatility but i feel it they should tweak the direction it goes more lower to hit farther distances.
-Maybe armor on enhanced divekick but this could be too much and make him op again

thats it I dont want NRS to be giving everyone some armor to "balance" out everything. i want this game to get more diverse not have armour on everything. these buffs are not gamebreaking but will balance him after the "fix" hell be getting.

why do the mods even let anyone post on here if your not a known mk player? unless you play in tournys you might as well save your time because all it will lead to is some tourny player saying "you don't know what your talking about, learn the game you cry baby bitch". all us "online scrub nobodys" should just start resorting to not speeking unless were agreeing with these top players because thats the only way our post will be taken seriously.

i mean noob is a zoning character, thats why his normals suck and has no rushdown, but yet rushdown characters have better zoning. that makes so much sense, why on earth would they change that. noob is meant to zone yet he has one of the most unsafe projectiles in the game, just perfect, i totally understand.

sindel, please. she has three types of projectiles, air, high, and low, why did they even give her normals? all she need are projectiles. she's perfect. you here me guys PERFECT.

And don't even get me started on stryker, slapping on some random armor almost makes him broken. Just wait till you see all the strykers after this patch, i bet he'll win the next EVO. but only when people start learning his matchups

Cause then only 9 people would post

elamit: I actually do play Kabal. Maybe you should just be more clear when you post. And no, the mixups are still not hard. You are trying to make kabal's mixups execution like it's super dificult and most people will agree that it's really not

i'm just saying heres how most topics go in this order.

1. random mk player - "this needs fixed".
2. 30 other random mk players - "i agree" or "i agree but i think this needs fixed more"
3. tourny player no. 1-9 - "shut up, you all suck learn the game you cry baby retards"
4. repeat 1

why waste your time, in the end your going to be wrong unless you share the same opionion as the big star mk players

I understand your point. However, the only way to enforce the idea is to become the most elitist forum on the planet. Do you think when SRK puts up polls for the community, they don't dread stupidity in the thread? Or how about poor Ono from SF who asks the community what they think and he has to read shit like "SAGAT NEEDS ALL OF HIS FIREBALLZ UNBLOCKABLE!!".

My eyes truly start bleeding at some of the suggestions I read, but online players/scrubs are part of the offline hardcore tournament community as well. There is no way to exclude everybody w/out us coming across as elitist assholes.

i agree that its hard to find a mid ground. its just some time there are ideas perfeclty in reason and these people spend time writing these long posts just to be called a crybaby in the end. hense why i stopped posting my buff ideas

You cannot post erroneous information or make outlandish suggestions about buffs/nerfs/gameplay changes and expect not to be corrected. Like it or not these tourney players that say "you dont know what your talking about, learn the game" have good reason to say so. They are the best of the best and play the game at a much higher level than the rest of the community does. This is not an elitist position, its simply the facts.
One of the foundations TYM is built on is that it is a competitive site with strong ties to the tournament community. The idea is to have all the best players here. And we do. I could rattle off a whos who of the best players we have here from REO and Tom Brady to CD J.R 16 bit Crazy Dominican and more. All thes guys Im sure would like nothing more than to share the vast knowledge they have, and some do. But it strikes me as odd that the MK community seems like the only community where its up and comers feel they already know better than the best players do about how the game is and how it should be.

If the goal of a new player coming to TYM is to improve him/herself then wouldnt the first logical course of action be to shut up and listen? And learn?
To many people fall back on the old adage of "Everyone is entitled to they're opinion" That may well be, but it doesnt entitle the opinion to be worth anything. The opinion of a high level player who has a deep knowledge of the game should always be worth more than the opinion of someone who doesnt really know the game that well or have a deep understanding of it. Again this isnt elitist, just reasonable. Does this not seem logical to you?

Dark Rob: I can PROMISE you this site is similar to all the others in terms of new players knowing it all. SRK, 8wayrun.com (soul calibur), tekkenzaibatsu, etc. All the same. New players come in knowing everything and most new players are not hardcore tournament players, they are online players. Yet, leaders of the community can't exactly nicely say "stfu, you are wrong". There is no middle ground. Either way cater to everybody, or it turns into elitist snobs.

I have been to nationals for Soul Calibur and am considered a top player in that community. I am one of the best Cervantes players in the country. There is no NICE way for me to go into the Cervantes forums and tell people they are ignorant, need to man up and learn the "tournament" way

Then given the choice I would rather us be seen as elitist snobs. Better that than to let the integrity of what this site is about become a parody of itself.

Main: Kano, Kabal
Buff: Kano, Kabal
Nerf: No one

I only say buff these 2 because they were nerfed in the 1st place. (buff them back to normal)
Why not nerf anyone? Because we got by just fine before these assholes decided to listen to all
of the crying bitches complain about why they lose.

No one likes to lose, we get it! But you must lose to improve your game. We are now in a
society of "gamers" who are soft as the fat on their mothers asses. Not only do they complain
about losing, (which I can deal with) but they want to tell you HOW they want to be beaten!
If I decide I want to whip your ass with 12 knife tosses in a row, if you CAN'T escape then your
precious fighter dies! People are going to complain regardless!
STOP NERFING CHARACTERS!!!
You do realize that back in the arcade days the developers would make revisions to the games based on player feedback right? Ever notice version numbers in the corner of the splash screen?
There's never been a fighting game that hasn't received tweaks/patches.

Learn to adapt!

Funny. Earlier you said that this was a serious thread. I won't bother posting anything intelligent because like I said before, it will drown in the sea of nonsense. If the above is true, then why is this thread still here? Why are you trying to make these players believe that their opinions matter when they don't? If you get rid of 99% of members who are responsible for the non-sense of TYM then your problem is solved. You can just make one Q&A thread for each forum.

carefull with those words, your trying to argue with a tournament player you know. the sad thing is if you go somewhere like trmk, mko, or tmk and people don't talk about gameplay or mk9 at all most of the time, so you come to this site and get shunned for not traveling across the country to play a video game.

No, what I said was the thread was MEANT to be serious. But aside from closing it to just put an end to it(which believe it or not is not something I enjoy doing)there is very little I can do by myself to make it serious, when people are asking for things like Kabals block infinite to be put back in the game. Getting rid of these members is not the solution nor would I want to do that. I am grateful for every member that we have at TYM. The solution is to educate them, to help them learn. To help them work past the limited understanding of the game they may have and help them develop they're talent. I am sure there are hundreds of people on this forum who can become truly great players, but first they need to stop trying to take the easy way out and scream for nerfs/buffs and instead push themselves to get better.
To get better you need to lose, and lose and lose over and over again. To play the best competition you can find and constantly push yourself to get better.
By pushing yourself you often find things about your character you never knew they had, and that tactic or move or strategy you thought unbeatable a month ago you find yourself developing strategies to beat it/get around it/punish it etc etc.

thats just one person. not many people on here think kabal needs his block infinate or for ermac to have armor on a non ex special. those far out requests make up about 5% of post on here not 99%. i dont think the noob ideas were rediculous at all

I was trolling that time in response to another poster. I don't really main Kabal. But is that post really more inane than armor on EX dive kick and EX low hat buff for Kung Lao? This thread is jokes. If I want to take the REAL easy way out, I'll just counterpick my opponent. At least that is more effective than complaining.

What Dark Rob is trying to say, is that people don't think before they post. And for tournament players who put hours and hours trying to better themselves on the game, when you come on the forums, it seems other players are spending more time complaining and wanting unrealistic buffs/nerfs vs figuring out "oh wait, this move/char CAN be beaten if I do this".

I have learned a TREMENDOUS amount from the forums, I then go apply it. It's just a common understanding that new gamers today don't like to be challenged. They blame the game if they are losing. I mean, how EASY is it to say "Come on NRS, PATCH THIS!" vs the dreaded truth of "Damn, that player got in my head and I fucked up". And if you are going to post something in a thread like this, make sure it makes sense. Don't just say "DIS MOVE IS BROKE YO!", break down why a move should be nerfed/buffed and make sure it's balanced for the cast. Note there will never be a perfect fighting game. This is not a wish thread, which I think many of you confuse this w/. Wish threads are in the char forums, go there instead.

Dark Rob might be coming off rough or frustrated, but as a MK tournament player of years experience, he has every right to be. Or any tournament player. It's not some super elite status, it's just a mindset that more people should adapt. MK9 is such a great game, and threads like this overall are a big joke. Look at MK9's tourney results vs every other major fighting game. Look at how many different chars are winning tournaments. The supposed "cheapest, best, broken char" is rarely seen in the top 5 (Kung Lao) and NRS is AGAIN going to patch him, just to shut people up.

Overall, when people say man up, they are saying to challenge yourself as a player to get over that (mental) hump and level your shit up

EDIT: Do you think the guy above me really took his time to post his thoughts? This is a perfect example...
