I don't know what it is... but I can't seem to pick the game up at all it seems. I have some good games, but then get mopped by what feels like people who have no idea. I've decided to pick Thunder up... but it's like he's got nothing going for him at all... not sure what to make of it.

You just need that clicking moment.

Thunder has a lot going for him. Most notably his raw damage output. His forward HP is a terrific range meaty to opener. He can mix that up with ankle slicer lows. His command grab has disgustingly good range. His pressure is great: the opponent should always feel like they are in a mixup situation. When they wake up they have to worry that in addition to blocking high or low they might eat the comm grab for blocking at all. The armor on shadow triplax is reliable. And he has a ton of combo ender options: he can refill his meter, go for raw damage, attempt a corner reset, or go for a hard knockdown. And once it's all over he thanks them for the battle.

Can anybody share some optimized BnBs?
I'm terrible at making combos myself.

well, it depends if you want to go for easy AD combos or harder manual combos!

got a hard to break manual combo that does 33-366% damage depending on your juggle at the end...
(you need a bar of meter)

F HP (overhead) - ankle slicer L/M - st Lk - ex Shadow grab - juggle hit of choice
