Believe me, dont waste your time on Arrow. One of the worst series ive ever seen. Hope The Flash is better, tho I doubt it will be.
Not to call you out, but you are pretty much the only person I've heard say that lol. I will take your opinion into consideration though, and be very cautious as I delve into the first few episodes.
That's literally the only time I've ever heard anyone say they thought Arrow was anything other than awesome, outside of my girlfriend... who doesn't like superhero related anything.

You'll wanna catch up on the first two seasons... trust me, it gets better as it goes on. Season 1 as a whole is alright, but the season finale is really good. Season 2 as a whole is really good, and the last 6 episodes of season 2 are pretty amazing.
THANK YOU. I don't get how people like this show? The action sequences look like they are directed by a high school film student and the acting is soap opera quality at best. It's not the worst show I've seen, but it's definitely Smallville quality--which, if you've seen that show recently, has not aged well at all.
There's the problem.
Arrow is a guilty pleasure for me, and I wouldn't say its bad....but its definitely overrated. Pretty cheesy at times. I expect flash to be the same....it is the CW after all.
Why should I have to force myself to watch more episodes in hopes that it will improve? It's not like Arrow is the only action show on TV and I have to just suck it up until it "gets good." What if I go all the way to season 2 and it still sucks? Then I've wasted hours and hours on something I've hated since day one. This would be a logical course of action if there weren't hundreds of shows that are only one click away, all of which I can choose to follow regularly depending on if I like them or not. I seriously don't see how the show has any value outside of comic novelty.
Thats all it takes to see the overall quality of this show . It has AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL acting, fuckin dumb and bland characters and horrible action sequences that are just sad to watch. U may like it but I think this is an abomination and dont recomend it to anyone that actually likes GA as a character. And before u guys start, I saw the whole 1st season and out of curiosity a few 2nd season episodes. Didnt get any better...

Agreed. When people say "IT GETS BETTER!" I ask--Do they get a new director? Do they hire new actors? Do they replace his mom and ex-gf? Do they get a new writer? Do they change everything in the show?
The action sequences are hardly horrible.

While I agree with Arrow not being that great, I think this sentiment is somewhat unfair, because a lot of TV shows do tend to get better as the cast start becoming more comfortable in their roles and the writers start meshing together. Shows like Star Trek the next generation and basically everything Joss Whedon has done besides Firefly come to mind.

Good point. If I were a huge Green Arrow fan I'd probably suck it up for a few more episodes, but seeing as how he's one of my least favorite DC characters the drive really isn't there to endure. If it were awesome I'd probably change my opinion on the character and enjoy myself, but it just feels like Smallville 2.0. Smallville was awesome when I was 14. That's about it.
