after modern warfare 10.I wonder when they're going to stop saturating the market with these games.
Being play BF3 over year now and still loving it.....way more than CoD: Bullshit Warfare Edition.Just play Battlefield, dont be a P*ssy. Thats where the real gun simulator is at.
Hell Yeah Man *Bumps fist*Being play BF3 over year now and still loving it.....way more than CoD: Bullshit Warfare Edition.
The issue becomes why pay 60$ to play a new game when it's the same thing as the previous game? It's bad enough they nickle and dime you with DLC for map packs and crap which all used to be free when COD first came out and had dedicated servers and an open modding community. So what they have done now is taken away former functionality, charged you extra for it and now they are charging you for a clone of the last game you bought. Now why should I support such practices? Where is the incentive?Always gonna support COD games because they provide quality and fun gameplay all the time. And now with MLG+ESPN picking up Injustice and KI it's an even bigger reason to support the COD competitive scene.
Never understood the silly complaints about sequels being too similar to previous iterations and not innovative enough. I mean what did you expect, of course all CODs need to play similar. It's a successful series for a reason. It works and you shouldn't make drastic changes to something that isn't broken. Otherwise if you wanna take risks you might as well create a new IP.
So I'm gonna go on a limb and say you don't play Madden series or NBA 2k series......right?The issue becomes why pay 60$ to play a new game when it's the same thing as the previous game?
Right. I played NHL for a while each year the game seemed to keep getting better but NHL13 was junk and as such I didn't buy 14 after seeing reviews. At least with sports games you can somewhat justify their purchase with the fact they they get updated rosters but even then like map packs they could just as easily be patched into the prior years game.So I'm gonna go on a limb and say you don't play Madden series or NBA 2k series......right?
But you don't have to buy every COD game...The issue becomes why pay 60$ to play a new game when it's the same thing as the previous game? When my only voice is to vote with my wallet, I'm going to choose to place my vote elsewhere. I'm glad you enjoy the games but I personally think they are a waste of money and that activisions greed has ruined the franchise.
Well. Sledgehammer helped Ghosts...All I gotta say is if Sledgehammer is anything like Infinity Ward i'm gonna stop playing Call of Duty.
Not only does Treyarch actually care about their players, they have the best casual game mode in zombies of any game i've ever played. Really upset with this news.
It works and is successful because people allow it to be. But that can change, money talks. CoD Ghosts was a failure in comparison to it's predecessors and Activision knows this (It's why Treyarch is getting a longer dev time for their next release), it was seen in the numbers and in its reviews. And it's funny you mention LoL, I played dota the game LoL was designed off of all through college and while I know LoL is wildly successful I think DotA 2's business model is much better (Pay to change the look of your hero not to unlock shit). Not to get sidetracked too much but I don't see the purpose in playing a moba that is known to have power creep with their champ releases just to get people to spend money when you can play a balanced and more dynamic game that does not lock any of the heroes.snip
Ghost isn't a good game, it's ok. Competitive play didn't become descent until players jumped down their throats for a broadcaster mode. Just about every map is too big and looks depressing and the game modes are bad. I mean, how do you not have capture the flag? Black ops 2 made a great leap in overall appeal and Ghost took a big step back.Well. Sledgehammer helped Ghosts...
Black Ops 2? Bad hit detection, inconsistent grenades, M8 exists, unbalanced maps. Ghost not being a good game? Well, that's a lie. Yes, it was shitty at first but Injustice was lackluster at first, as well with any pre-patch game. So what's your point? Let's look at the game now. The maps aren't "too big", in competitive they took out the ridiculous ones. But the hit detection is awesome and there's at least 2 relevant weapons per weapon type. Plus the movement in the game is awesome, it flows very well. Taking out CTF was a poor idea but Blitz is fine... I'm 100 times better at CTF but Blitz is more like high speed chess vs map control. Hardpoint should have been in, tho.Ghost isn't a good game, it's ok. Competitive play didn't become descent until players jumped down their throats for a broadcaster mode.
