@EDDY

give us clip.
If i knew the name i would have download it all episodes long ago, no one here in my country remember that cartoon name, we were so hype to watch that no one really cared for the original title.

A friend of mine, has composed two songs in rap version of this same cartoon as well.

For me it was the episode of Spongebob where spongebob and mr.krabs thought they killed the health inspector so they tried to hide the dead body, changed my life forever.

This is them trying to bury the body.

If I hadn't watched Pokemon, I would never have known the names of all the Pokemon I had to collect in Blue/Red to become a Pokemon master.

If I hadn't watched Yu-gi-oh!, I wouldn't have wasted hundreds of dollars on rare cards from the show.

If I hadn't watched DBZ.......I'd just be a loser in elementary school.......

LBSH, if you didn't watch DBZ on TV as you were growing up, you missed out.

The Saiyan, Frieza, Android, and Cell Saga were some of the best shit I've ever seen growing up. I've never been so hype and enthusiastic over a cartoon ever.

DBZ taught me life is fucking awesome and then it fucking sucks. You grow up and everything is awesome, you're in your 20-40s and everything is still somewhat awesome. And then you hit 60s and everything starts to fucking suck. Just like DBZ started out fucking awesome and then it fucking sucked as it got older when the Buu saga hit.

The first cartoon I ever remember watching was this space thing that was loosely based on the story of Sleeping Beauty and the 3 Musketeers. The characters were even named Princess Aurora, Athos, Porthos and whatever the third one was. Turned out it was my first "Americanized" anime!

Since the OP seems interested in cartoon crushes, my first was Baroness from GI Joe. Dat body, dat outfit, dat ACCENT! Schproing!!!!! :D

Hades

Dojo Trainee
Scooby doo was definitely my favourite as a child. I dont know why but the thought of a talking dog helping a crew of people solve mysteries really appealed to me. also "i would have got away with it if it werent for you meddling kids, and your dumb dog" was such a classic line. Man i used to get into that show so much as a kid....

I was a huge Turtles fan, but I no childhood cartoon had an "impact" on me in the later years of my life with the exception of South Park. SP debuted on Comedy Central back when CC was a subscription only channel back in 1997, and we had it. I was one of the only people in my entire school who had that channel, and so I was there for the debut of SP's first episode. So it became a show that was "our thing", between me, my dad, and my friends. So it's always had a special place for me.

The transformers cartoon(full length movie) stands out to me. That was the movie that set the bar for me. I wish i could remember the corny theme song eith the 80's hair dude. Lol, he was a huge one hit wonder type.
Man, being old an all i have to agree, Transformers the movie (1986) is extremely good, and the deaths of some of our fave characters was very dramatic and sad :(. The animation was friggin amazing for the time, and the story was dark as fuck. I got my partners kid into this film so i have an excuse to watch it now and again lol, by the way, that song you couldnt remember the name too:

Edit: just noticed @AeroGrunt got in there first lol

I loved DBZ, favorite saga was Cell/Android Saga for sure. Buu was also my least favorite but I still loved it with the whole fusion and Majin Vegeta parts. Why did u dislike the Buu Saga so much was it due to Gohan being the one who should of killed Buu but got fucked over by writing? That's the only reason Buu was my least favorite lol.

Did you know that in the Batman: The Animated Series' episode, "A Bullet for Bullock" there are at least THREE drug references.

One refers to a drug cartel.
One where Batman uses the phrase, "Meth Crystal"
And one where Batman literally says, "Gotham crackhouses."

In a cartoon. For children.

God, that show is awesome.

Also, cartoons I thought were profound for me:

Batman: The Animated Series
Dragon Ball Z
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The FIRST(and only the first) season of Spawn: The Animated Series

TakeAChance

TYM White Knight

So much feels, and an epic moment that fit with Vegeta's character so well.

Solidified him as my all time favourite DBZ character.

dbz definitely, i dont understand all this hate on buu saga though... Sure, story-wise cell saga was on another level, but Buu saga was still good imo and I still liked it better than the freeza saga.

The Magic School Bus, Arthur, and Bill Nye the Science Guy is what made me love math and science so much (arthur was more of the social side of things). DBZ is up there as well, it influenced me to pick up drawing (like my profile pic to the left :D)

Courage the Cowardly Dog gave me nightmares as a kid. I loved the surreal humor and black comedy. Propelled me to explore my fears and horrors as a kid. Didn't fuck me up too bad. Cartoon Network in the 90s was fucking awesome. Everyone watched that shit all day.

Dragon Ball inspired me to draw just like every other sane kid in the 90s. We all dropped it from lack of skill.

I also liked dumb shit like The Andy Milanokis Show and shitty sketch comedies.

My childhood shows probably seem shitty to you grandpas out there but it's miles ahead of childhood programming nowadays. They've got shit like Adventure Time and The Garfield Show. Hilarious.

The shit they pulled off on Gohan pissed me off. They spend years and sagas building up Gohan's character and then all of a sudden throw it all in the garbage by making him a wimp. The great saiyaman? Why would you do that? Just no... They turn the emotional breaking point and blood shed to become a Super Saiyan into a mere children's ploy. Goten achieves Super Saiyan because his mom yelled at him? Wut... Super Saiyan three was probably one of the most let downs. It was so anticipated and looked out for that when it finally showed up it ended up being something lame. They made it unique by removing eye brows and growing hair up to your waist? Really? I was expecting a slight discolored hair + electric, and possibly a darker aura. You know something that would have looked badass?

Don't get me wrong, Buu saga had some of it's good moments like Ultimate Gohan (short lived), Dabura, introductory to Fusion, Majin Vegeta, and Super Buu. I guess you could say Pikkon, too. But I found him meh.

Watching it just didn't feel like the DBZ I was used to from past sagas. The small vibes would come and go. I wasn't as passionate about this one and some of the things they came up with were just lazy and non memorable. I always felt like they should have made Broly into a cannon saga a few years after the Cell saga and made the Buu one into a movie or something. It would have been so much better for the series.
